Fair Haven Christian Church

Fair Haven Christian Church Transforming Lives... One at a time To Be the Conscience of the Community: Fair Haven Christian Church strives to be a church that makes a difference.

The Fair Haven Christian Church Mission Statement:

To Evangelize the Lost: That means we are aggressively, unashamedly trying to motivate people to make Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of their lives! To Edify the Saved: Fair Haven Christian Church and its leadership fell a definite duty to lead Christian people to a growing relationship in Christ. To Minister to the Hurting: While our primary g

oal is to evangelize the lost, as we go as Ambassadors for Christ, we care for those who hurt. We exist to have an influence for the cause of Christ on the people of our communities.

This week in our "Bloom Where You're Planted" series, we looked at 2 Corinthians 11-12 and the remarkable resilience of the apostle Paul. Through shipwrecks, beatings, and relentless hardship, Paul discovered three counterintuitive principles: own your part in every situation, depend fully on God, and keep giving to others even when life gets hard.

When Paul begged God to remove his thorn in the flesh, God's answer was not removal but sufficiency. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9) That is not a consolation prize. That is an invitation into something limitless.

You cannot choose your storms, but you can choose how you stand in them.

The local church is not just a building, it is an opportunity. An opportunity to demonstrate faithfulness to God, to invest in something that outlives you, and to be united around what is eternal.

In a world that excels at division, the church gathers people who have no business being together, different backgrounds, different politics, different lives, all under one Lord, one faith, one hope. As Paul writes in Ephesians 4, that unity is possible because God is one.

Ask yourself this week: has the gospel reached all the way into your calendar? Are you seizing the opportunity the local church offers, or leaving it just that, an opportunity?

The church has always needed people who step up and say, this is what I am a part of. Be one of those people.

Is there a sin too great for God to forgive? This week at Fair Haven, we tackled one of Scripture's most sobering questions: what does the Bible say about unforgivable sin?

Jesus warns three times in the Gospels about blaspheming the Holy Spirit, not a careless word or a season of doubt, but a persistent, hardened rejection of God that leaves a person unwilling to repent. The good news? If you are concerned about your own heart, that concern itself is evidence of a heart still open to God. As 1 John 1:9 reminds us, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

No one is too far gone. From the apostle Paul to King David, Scripture and history are full of people who seemed unreachable, until they were not. Our calling is to keep pursuing people with the gospel and trust God with the results.
