Sunday Sermon Summary

Romans 6:1-7, Dead to Sin, Alive to God

Christ gives life! Those who have been baptized into Christ Jesus are now walking in the newness of life. Sin is no longer your master.

Did God save you from sin so you could sin more? No! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?

Jesus is our Redeemer. He wants to know you, and for you to know Him.

Read your Bible. Pray to Him. He promises you: if you seek Him, you will find Him.

Jesus wants to free you from sin.

Are you searching for answers? You are invited to learn about the love that God has for you. Join us on Sundays at 10 AM.

Sunday Sermon Summary:
Romans 5:6-11, Christ in Our Place

In these verses we learn 4 things: humans are powerless, ungodly, sinners, and enemies of God. We cannot change our basic nature. We are bent toward sin.

We justify our own sin (I know I do). We make up our own rules. We live as if we are our own god. We must admit this to know we need a Savior. Apart from God's grace, we have no hope.

God's love for you is not dependant on anything you do. God loves you because He is a God of Love. God's Love brought us Jesus, our Savior.

Jesus lived a sinless life. He died for people who hated Him. He took the punishment that we should pay so that we could be reconciled with God.

Why would God make a world with sin and death? He didn't. He made a perfect world and we chose to sin.

If you find yourself thinking of these questions, we'd love to have you join us next Sunday at 10 AM.

You have hope in Jesus!

Sunday Sermon Summary

Matthew 22:34-40: Which is the first commandment of all?

The religious leaders and law keepers of the time were trying to trick Jesus when they asked Him which commandment was the most important.

With His infinite wisdom, Jesus summed up all of the commandments with just 2: love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Humans know right from wrong without having to read the Bible. He writes His law on our hearts.

Why did God give us the 10 commandments? We cannot obey all of them all of the time. We have all sinned. His laws taught us that we need something more to help us. Jesus is the only one who has kept God's laws perfectly. That's what made Him the perfect sacrifice to pay for our shortfalls.

Jesus can cleanse you from the inside. He wants to forgive you of your sins and have a relationship with you. If you are interested in knowing Him, come see us on Sundays at 10 AM.
