Have you experienced Jesus in this way?

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life (John 8:12)."

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty (John 6:35)."

As we come close to the end of John, we'll take some time on Sunday to slow down and revisit the seven "I Am" statements of Jesus. We'll spend time reviewing, reflecting and praying together.

Also, remember our worship service will be a bit shorter than usual because it's our Day of Serving. Those who can stay after will take part in several different service projects in our community. It's another opportunity to be a "blessing" to our neighbors.

This isn't very encouraging! What can we, as followers of Jesus expect when living in this world, while not being of this world and how should we respond? Read John 15:18-16:15 and we'll discuss it on Sunday.

On Sunday, we'll encounter the seventh and final "I Am" statement of Jesus: "I am the True Vine." What is the significance of Jesus' claim and what does it mean for the "fruitfulness" of His followers? Read John 15:1-17 and join us on Sunday morning.
