Worth it all❤️
It’s time to let them.
Let them talk.
Let them criticize.
Let them misunderstand you.
Let them whisper.
Let them question your motives.
Let them form opinions about something they were never called to carry.
You have spent too much time trying to silence voices that God never told you to answer.
But there comes a point where you have to realize, every voice does not deserve a response.
Some battles are won by confronting them, some battles are won by refusing to come down.
Nehemiah had a wall to build, and when Sanballat and Tobiah began calling his name, questioning his motives, and trying to pull him away from the assignment, Nehemiah essentially said, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.”
That needs to become your posture.
“I cannot come down.”
I cannot come down to argue.
I cannot come down to defend myself.
I cannot come down because somebody doesn't understand my obedience.
I cannot come down because somebody doesn't like the direction God is taking me.
I have a wall to build.
There is too much holy work in front of you to keep turning around to see who is talking behind you.
Because the ones who are talking weren't there when God called you.
They weren't there in the midnight seasons.
They weren't there when you were crying and praying.
They weren't there when God was breaking you, molding you, pruning you, and teaching you obedience.
They see the oil, but they didn't see the crushing.
They see the platform, but they didn't see the process.
They see the fire, but they don't know what it cost you to keep the altar burning.
They see the fruit, but they didn’t see the seasons when you were buried.
So stop trying to make people understand what they were never present for.
You don't owe everybody an explanation for an assignment God gave you.
There comes a moment when you have to set your face like flint.
Not because you're angry.
Not because you're bitter.
Not because you've stopped caring.
But because you have become so convinced of what God has called you to do that the noise can no longer redirect you.
You have to get to the place where criticism doesn't change your obedience.
Where whispers don't change your worship.
Where rejection doesn't change your assignment.
Where somebody else's opinion doesn't become louder than God's voice.
Because the enemy's strategy is often not to destroy the assignment, it's to distract the person carrying it.
If he can't make you quit, he'll try to make you explain.
If he can't stop the work, he'll try to get you off the wall.
If he can't steal your calling, he'll try to steal your focus.
But the Spirit of God is saying, “Don't come down.”
There are people waiting on the other side of your obedience.
There is a generation that needs what God has deposited in you.
There are prayers that are going to be answered because you refused to quit.
There are doors that are going to open because you refused to abandon the assignment.
There are going to be people who will encounter God because you kept building when it would have been easier to walk away.
So stop abandoning the wall every time somebody calls your name.
Sanballat called Nehemiah’s name, but Nehemiah knew his assignment was more important than their accusation.
And you need to know the same thing.
Your assignment is greater than their opinion.
Your calling is greater than their criticism.
Your obedience is greater than their approval.
Your future is greater than their perception of your past.
Your peace is more valuable than winning an argument.
And your focus is too sacred to keep handing it over to people who have no authority over your assignment.
So lift your eyes.
Straighten your shoulders.
And put your hands to the wall.
Because there is holy work to do my friends.
