In the end, all you have to hold on to is faith, hope and love. Nothing else is strong enough to give you peace, comfort and wisdom. In the end, all you can do is to pray, trust and walk in faith boldly and audaciously. In the end, God's gifts of the sacraments and the Word will give you all you need. In the end, it all comes from God, is about God, and leads to God. In the end, you only have God. And he is more than enough. ~Pastor Andreas

You are no longer the person you used to be. You may not yet be where you want to be, but you have already made so much progress. You have shaken off disappointments, learned when to trust and when to be guarded. You have kept your gentle, postive spirit. Give yourself the gift of patience. It my take longer to get where you want to be, but God is faithful. He knows your hopes. Seek Him. He will take you there. ~Pastor Andreas

I saw this little child. She was terrified of all the traffic she saw on the road in front of her. She looked to her left and saw her dad standing right next to her. Suddenly the fear in her eyes gave way to a smile. Fear was gone. Nothing has changed. The traffic was still there. But dad was with her. And indeed, your father in heaven is standing right next to you. In all the moments of fear and worry! During all sleepless and restless nights. In the moments of loneliness and sadness. Your father is standing with you. And it makes all the difference. ~Pastor Andreas

There are many situations where you either walk by faith, or you don't walk at all. When all you have to hold on to is your faith, you find out that faith is strong enough to carry you through the storms and fires of life. Every time you come into the presence of God, your faith gets renewed. Faith overcomes this world ~Pastor Andreas

There comes the time when you close the door behind you at night and you are alone with yourself. You feel how tired you have become, and you wonder how you keep going. People comment how strong you are, but you wonder if you are what people say of you, or if you are what you know of yourself. God renews your strength every day. His strength carries you. ~Pastor Andreas

There are times you soak your pillow with tears. Your soul is overflowing with hurt. There are times you give your pillow a beating with your fists. Anger, even hate is burning in your soul. But then, it is that pillow, soaked with tears and beaten with fists, that gives you a gentle, peaceful rest. Jesus is the pillow for your soul, a pillow on which to rest. You can cry or shake your fists at him, and he will give you peace in return. ~Pastor Andreas

You have come long ways. You have fought battles, and you prevailed. You have overcome challenges. You got beaten down, but you got right back up again. You forgave, even when no one saw anything wrong with hurting you. You continued to be there for the ones who needed you. You may have become weary and tired, but it has been worth it. God has sustained you in it all, and God will never let you down. ~Pastor Andreas

Sometimes it feels like everything is falling apart. What feels like everything falling apart might be God rearranging the pieces in your life to form a beautiful new picture. God is setting the stage for new opportunities, new blessings, new relationships. You are in the process of entering a new season in your life. It may not yet make sense, but it soon will. ~Pastor Andreas

There are times when you wonder if you will ever find your way back to that person you remember, that person full of joy and love, that person full of life! Your old you! Today, that person seems to be a vague memory of times past, buried under hurt and anger. But this person still is you and alive! It is the person God created. In God's presence this person will cease being a memory and again become the everyday you. ~Pastor Andreas

Sometimes you look back and wonder where all the years have gone? You had so many plans, so many dreams, but it feels like in a flash decades have passed and you wonder if it is now too late? It is never too late to start living. Stop worrying about what the future will bring. Jesus is your security. Stop resenting the people who hurt you. They are past. Live without worry and without being resentful. Jesus will give you the strength to do so. ~Pastor Andreas
