Peak Community Church

Peak Community Church We're a church learning how to follow Jesus in downtown Fort Collins. Our background is Protestant.

The best thing about Peak is not the staff or the building, but the folks who call it a church home, and the friends we've made around the city. We believe the oldest creeds--especially the oldest one that says, Jesus is Lord. We are good friends with a group of churches that call themselves Church of God (the home base is in Anderson, IN). And we're good friends with a lot of the other churches i

n Fort Collins. We have a lot of friends but we're always interested in making more. We'd like to get to know you, to invite you to bring your unique gifts, because we can't worship God fully without you.

We'll be worshiping together at Buckhorn Camp this Sunday, July 21, 9:00 am, as we wrap up our church retreat. If you are not attending the retreat, you're welcome to join us at the camp's Green Chapel.

Buckhorn United Methodist Camp is located in the mountains west of Fort Collins, Colorado. The camp is owned and operated by the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. Buckhorn Camp offers group lodging, facilitated retreats, and summer camps.

We're not much for self-promotion, but we wanted to tell the story of our friends from Venezuela. Hopefully this clip helps. Any funds raised go entirely to the shelter and resettlement operation.

Peak Community Church is pretty lucky right now to host 15 asylum seekers from Venezuela. They are a great group to hang out with for 10 days. Fort Collins folks have been great with helping out but we could use a little more assistance. If you’re local and can hang out for a shift, that would be great. We also need meals and funds for specific needs. You can sign up or donate on the church’s website peakchurch.org. Ultimately, we’re working on resettlement by partnering with local agencies and nonprofits. Priorities are legal, housing and jobs.

We’ll be celebrating Nochebuena on Christmas Eve — all are welcome! And, if you’re the praying kind, by all means pray for these very courageous people.

We have an urgent need for clothing!!

Yesterday, we welcomed 17 guests from Venezuela - refugees and migrants fleeing the humanitarian, political and socio-economic crises facing that country. Our guests have very few clothes and need warm clothes for cold weather.

How you can help:

--> Donate clothing at the church (8am-8pm)
--> Donate funds at https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/ #/tithely/give-one-time/6509892?giving_to=Emergency%20Aid
