Start cleaning out and setting aside your treasures to donate to the Mountain View Yard Sale.

We will not be accepting books, electronics, sleeper sofa's or large entertainment centers.

We will begin taking your treasurers on Sunday, May 24, from 1:00 - 5:00pm.

You can drop off items on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30am - 4:30pm and from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Please call the church office, 434-525-6612 to schedule a pick-up.

The pick up schedule is:
Saturday, May 23, 1:00 - 5:00pm
Sunday, May 24, 1:00 - 5:00pm
Monday, May 25, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Tuesday, May 26, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Wednesday, May 27, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Mountain View GRACE group meets Tuesday @6:30 in the Parlor. Join us for fun, food and fellowship as Tamera puts her Va Tech genetics and math degree to use as we discuss Quilts used in the Underground Railroad. I joke, but I really do know what I am talking about - it will be fun, bring a friend!

We have a lot going on at Valor Farm! Hope this clarifies what is happening this month😁

Our goal is to support our veterans, here is how:
Every odd month (Jan, Mar, May, etc.) on the second Monday, Rhonda Johnson and volunteers provide lunch for the Valor Farm Patriots. Patriots live at Valor for about 9 months and complete a program that helps promote wellness and community. We need for YOU to be the hands of Christ to serve the meal. Mtn. View Missions picks up and pays for the food. (Some volunteers like to donate sides, desserts, etc.; however, never expected). Please message us if you can help so Rhonda knows who to expect but come anyway 11:45 am May 11th, at 980 Wards Rd, Altavista if you find you can make it! Rhonda will be there and welcome your hands.
OR
Every third Saturday of each month (none of that odd month stuff), Mickey and her team for service Saturday, May 16th. The Farm does all the organizing, you just show up by 9:00am at 980 Wards Rd, Altavista. The hours are 9am-1pm. Arrive a little earlier to be able to sign up for something that suits your talents. There is an app you can install on your phone to sign up earlier in the week for a job that allows you to pick a role that best suits you as well. They will point your hands at some way you can serve! Afterwards, you will be served lunch and have an opportunity to fellowship with Veterans who have served and need our appreciation. Message us with any questions.

Help us complete the Blessing Blankets that VF gifts to their graduating Patriots. There is one hanging at the church - just double knot the threads as you pray for those who served.
