Sundi's Gift, Inc. The name of the organization comes from the grandchildren of company founder, Everett Smith, who were adopted from Kenya.

Founded in 2011, Sundi's Gift is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works with several schools in Soweto, Kenya to provide education, food, and other resources. Sundi is Swahili for "Joy" and Zawadi translates to "Gift".

Let's do it again, folks! Please like and share this post and help us spread the word. Last year we were able to bless over 400 widows from the Bungoma region of Kenya with these gift "baskets" which costs about $15 USD to put each one together.

Special shout out to Jolene, Sunshine, Elizabeth, & Terra who combined have helped us reach 26 baskets in the just the last couple of days.

And of course, a very special thank you to Stratosphere Social Eldersburg who has been an amazing partner in this endeavor.

We are excited to partner once again with Stratosphere Social for our second annual Basket Drive for widows in Kenya.

Last year, we were about to provide baskets filled with flour, oil, rice, salt, sugar, oil, matches and soap for over 300 widows in Bungoma, Kenya. Our goal this year is 400. $15 fills an entire basket. Please partner with us this Easter so we can bless these women in December.

‼️We are partnering with Sundi's Gift, Inc. for their annual widow basket drive. Every year, they organize a holiday event where they hand out gifts to women who travel great distances and mostly on foot to get there.

What started as a rather small gathering of about 75 widows has grown to well over 300 women showing up. Unfortunately, there just isn’t enough to go around. These are not what you would imagine when you think of a gift basket. We are talking about sugar, rice, salt, flour, oil, tea, a matchbox and bar of soap.

It costs about $15 US to assemble one basket.

You can donate $1, $5, $10 or go all in and sponsor an entire basket for $15. You can do this at Stratosphere Social or online at

Our goal is $2250 (150 baskets). We greatly appreciate any help and support!

Please pray for George. He was working on the well at Sundi's Gift Academy in Bungoma just minutes ago and passed out. The ambulance has been called. He is breathing but still not conscious. Prayers for full and immediate recovery are greatly appreciated. T UPDATE: He is being released from the hospital today. Thank you for the prayers!

Prayer request: The same staff member who lost their home in flooding last year was bitten by a green mamba snake and was rushed to the hospital. Please pray for his immediate and full healing.

UPDATE: He received the anti-venom in a timely fashion and is stable. Thank you to all who prayed!
