What an awesome day we had Sunday at our Spring Outdoors Service, even if some of the folks got sunburnt because of the long-winded pastor! We were blessed with watching two men be baptized in the Greenbrier River after the service. The water was cold but the baptisms warmed our hearts. Praying everyone has a great week. See you Wednesday at 6:00 for our weekly Bible study!

UPDATE: After the service follow us to the Greenbrier River for a baptismal service!!!

In 2020 we began having services outside due to Covid. Those were difficult times but we experienced a lot of physical and spiritual growth. As a memorial of gratitude to the Lord, each year we have a spring and fall service outside. We would love to have you attend our Spring Outdoor Service this Sunday at 11:00. We will have folding chairs but feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair. Sunday School will be inside at 10:00 followed by the outdoor service at 11:00. We hope to see you at RVBC!

Praise Report! We thank the Lord that another soul was saved this morning at church! That is four people in five weeks. The Lord is continuing to work at churches throughout this land and the question that we must ask ourselves is simply this, what can God do at my church through me? Not your pastor, not your deacons, trustess, teachers, singers, ushers,... but YOU! We don't need mega churches but instead we need God's people stepping up and stepping out to serve the Lord in their church. Every church goes through seasons of growth, transition, decline, and waiting, just as we all experience this in our individual lives. Whatever season your church is in, keep praying, keep believing, keep serving, and be encouraged knowing that God is preparing you and your church for the next season. There is no perfect church because there are no perfect people. The key is to find a Bible believing, Bible preaching and teaching church and get involved in it through prayer and service. If you have a home church then support it, pray for it, and serve in it. If you don't have a home church then try one out this coming Sunday whether it is River Valley or the church down the road from your home and then when you see God moving in your church, let others know so that it can be an encouragement to them. I pray this evening that God blesses you with a great work week and I trust that today was a great day for you in the House of the Lord.

If you don't have a home church, consider this your welcome invitation to worship the Risen Savior, Jesus Christ, with us at RVBC.

Perhaps you have been out of church a way too long, we would love to welcome you back. Maybe you are realizing that your kids don't really know what Easter is about, this is your opportunity. Or maybe you are struggling and you are ready to try anything in order to find relief and help, you're not alone. Jesus can help and it is time to stop running and find the help that has been evading you. The help that only comes from a life with Jesus Christ.

Whatever your situation may be, we would love to share our experiences with Christ to you. Come as you are and leave with a new Hope.

EXCITING NEWS!!! Two souls saved this morning! We had a great turnout for the services as well as the spaghetti dinner and Easter Egg hunt! If you don’t have a home church, we would love to worship with you next week during Resurrection Sunday!

If you have a home church, be praying for your church and its leaders and bring others to your church as we all prepare for Easter services!
