What a beautiful evening celebrating the history and parishioners of St. Patrick Church in
Lake Mills! As we continue our Journey in Faith and prepare to become part of the Clear Lake Area Pastorate, friends from across our communities gathered to honor the faith, traditions, and memories that have made St. Patrick a cherished spiritual home for generations.

From shared laughter and fellowship over wine and hors d'oeuvres to children enjoying yard games on a perfect summer evening, the celebration was filled with joy and gratitude.

Guests also had the opportunity to explore displays highlighting the parish’s history and the many people whose faith and dedication helped shape this beloved church.

We are proud to have the faithful community of St. Patrick, Lake Mills as a part of the Clear Lake Area Pastorate and look forward to the many blessings that await as we continue our journey in faith together.

Thank you to everyone who joined for such a memorable evening!🙏🙏

St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center Appeal on June 27/28

On June 27/28, we welcome Father Mark Murphy to Forest City, Britt, and Garner to speak about St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center in Cedar Falls. St. Stephen supports college students from the University of Northern Iowa and surrounding colleges.

St. Stephen is not a parish, so it relies on financial support from students, their families, alumni, community members, and other parishes. Please make a donation to support the important work of ministering to our students at this critical time for them to make our Catholic Faith their own. Donations may be placed in the collection or dropped off at the parish office. Or checks made out to St. Stephen the Witness may be mailed to:

St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center
1019 West 23rd Street
Cedar Falls, IA 50613

You can also donate online using the QR code or at:

Thank you for any support you are able to give.

In his letter to the Romans, St. Paul encourages fellow Christians to uphold steady prayer, “Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.” As we continue to move forward with the Journey in Faith initiative, prayer serves as our foundation. Prayer for the people of God, especially parish staff members, and those who bear the yoke of leadership.

Having a set day of communal prayer will strengthen our bonds as an Archdiocesan community. Lifting up our souls, hearts and minds simultaneously surely will rise as a pleasing offering before God.⁣ This Wednesday, we will share a communal prayer to offer up for Journey in Faith.

Real Presence. Real Body. Real Blood. Not symbol, not metaphor... Christ Himself, under the appearance of bread and wine. If we believed it the way we say we do, we would crawl to the altar. Today the Church holds up what every Mass holds up, and asks the world to look.

Today is the Feast of St. Boniface!

He took an axe to a sacred oak the pagans said no god would let stand. It fell. No one died. The crowd went silent... and listened. He baptized a nation. At seventy-five he was killed by raiders while preparing converts for confirmation, a Gospel book raised over his head.
