Sometimes a life-changing conversation starts with a walk.

This weekend, Justin and Wyatt are taking us down the road to Emmaus as we wrap up our Life-Changing Conversations series through the Gospel of Luke. We’ll look at what it means to journey with Jesus, recognize him along the way and be the church together across every generation.

We’ll also celebrate Communion together all across Hope this weekend. We’d love to worship with you! 💙

What a Sunday, Hope Local Forest City! 💙🥞☀️

We’re still giving thanks to God for a morning filled with pancakes and fruit, prayer and fellowship, worship, and the kind of joy that comes when the church family gathers together.

More than anything, we’re grateful for the opportunity to reach out to our community, welcome people in, and share the everlasting love of Jesus in some pretty simple ways. Turns out pancakes can be a pretty great ministry resource!! 🙌🏼

To everyone who served, invited, prayed, showed up, and helped make someone feel at home: thank you!! 🫶🏼 Seeds were planted, relationships were built, and God was at work through it all.

To our first-time guests, we hope this felt like home and we’d LOVE to have you back anytime! And to our regulars, we can’t wait to see you again this Sunday for another great morning of worship together!

We’re beginning a brand-new 3-week sermon series as we close out our journey through the Gospel of Luke: “Life-Changing Conversations.” ✨

Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore how a single conversation with Jesus transformed people’s lives throughout Luke. Those conversations changed them, and they can change us, too.

This Sunday, we begin in Luke 19:1-10 with Zacchaeus and an encounter with Jesus that changed the direction of his life. 💙

But first... come hungry! 🥞

We’re kicking off the morning with a pancake breakfast at 8:30am featuring pancakes, bacon-wrapped smokies, fruit and plenty of good times together before worship.

Come grab some breakfast, bring your family and friends, and stick around as worship begins at 9:15am! 🙌🏼

This Sunday, we’re wrapping up our “Let Me Tell You A Story” series in the Gospel of Luke with a powerful question: Who’s in and who’s out with God?

In Luke 18:9-14, Jesus tells the story of a Pharisee and a tax collector, revealing the difference between pride and humility, and reminding us just how deeply we depend on God’s grace.

Summer has been an incredible season across our Hope family, and we’re excited for all God continues to do through our Local Sites!

🎬 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make VBS such an incredible success at all 10 Hope locations, including Clear Lake, Cedar Valley and Panora! Everyone’s time and heart given made a huge impact on so many kids and families!

🏡 Families out at Hope Local Panora are celebrating their exciting building campaign this Sunday, Hope Local KC is getting closer to moving into their new home, and Cedar Valley is continuing to make their new church feel more and more like home! 😊 God is on the move!!

🥞 We’re hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, August 23rd starting at 8:30am right before worship begins! Come and join us for food and fellowship, and invite your family and friends to join in, as well!

🎶 Worship Night is Friday, August 21 at 7:00pm! Join us in person at Hope WDM or check with your site leaders to see if they’ll be tuning in from your site location.

🎒 School supply drives are almost underway! Be on the lookout for information for how your site can help support students, teachers, and families in your community.

💬 Alpha begins in September! Keep an eye on our website and social media for more information on how you or someone you know can get involved.

🙏🏼 As summer comes to a close, be praying about who God may be inviting you to reach with the everlasting love of Jesus. You never know who may be looking for a church family just like yours!
