Dear Zion Family and Lutino Adunu supporters—look at what you've helped build!

We’re only $4,500 away from opening our doors!

Despite countless challenges and setbacks along the way, we are finally nearing the construction finish line on the Lutino Adunu Community Library and Resource Center in Gulu, Uganda.

For more than 15 years, we've worked toward this dream, and now we need just a few more dollars to complete the project and celebrate its ribbon-cutting ceremony!

All that's left is to complete the flooring, paint the interior and exterior, furnish the facility, and fill the shelves with books.

Your donation will do far more than help open the doors to the first facility of its kind in this impoverished region. It will open doors of opportunity for children and families throughout Northern Uganda.

It will help create a place for learning, training, community gatherings, and renewed hope for generations to come.

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday on March 29th and ends
with Easter Sunday on April 5th.

We will have a Good Friday service on April 3rd at 6pm.

On Easter Sunday, we will have a potluck breakfast at 8:30am and worship at 10:30am. What a gift it is to be able to gather during this holy time.

Zion Family and friends;

Do you know the incredible story behind this famous painting of Jesus, the "Prince of Peace"? Not only how and who created it, but of its miraculous journey after?

I have four prints of this painting in our home because my eyes and soul recognize this as the true face of Christ.

The young artist, Akiane Kramarik, says of her painting, "Love and Truth are represented on the right side of Jesus' face, the other is of darkness and suffering - yet there is a light in His eye. This light is a reminder that He is ALWAYS with us."

However you celebrate your holidays this season, may this image and its story remind you to keep holy the sacred holy-day of Christ-mas. 🙏✝️🙏

For those interested in watching the Hallmark Christmas movie featuring Thrivent Financial, it airs today, December 15th, at 2:00 p.m. PDT, on channel 702 (One of the two Hallmark channels).

This brief movie trailer announces the date of the first showing of the film, not today's date.

Also, ALL are invited to attend Zion's Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5:00 P.M., December 24th.

Despite the massive rains and flooding in Whatcom County, Zion Lutheran Church (Ferndale) and our community gathered December 10th for Zion's annual Carols by Candlelight sing-along.

Thank you to all who attended. 💕

In a time of rising waters and fears, raising our voices in celebration, praise and prayer brought peace, love and joy to our hearts.

And isn't that just what Christ, and the Holy season, are all about?
