In those days, the Israelites came to the desert of Sinai and pitched camp. While Israel was encamped here in front of the mountain,

Brothers and sisters:
Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly.

How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood,
will we be saved through him from the wrath.

Then he summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness.
The names of the twelve apostles are these:
first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew;
James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector;
James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;
Simon from Cana, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.

Jesus sent out these twelve after instructing them thus,
“Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.
Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Moses said to the people:
"Remember how for forty years now the LORD, your God, has directed all your journeying in the desert, so as to test you by affliction and find out whether or not it was your intention
to keep his commandments. He therefore let you be afflicted with hunger, and then fed you with manna, a food unknown to you and your fathers, in order to show you that not by bread alone does one live, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the LORD.

Early in the morning Moses went up Mount Sinai as the LORD had commanded him, taking along the two stone tablets.

Having come down in a cloud, the LORD stood with Moses there
and proclaimed his name, "LORD."

Hope Emergency is currently seeking summer volunteers.
Are you a student looking for an SAE project for FFA, seeking to fulfill required community service projects for class or a college student looking for an unpaid internship? Are you part of a 4H or scout group/troop and looking for a service project? A parent who wants to work along your children and help out in the community and have fun while doing it?

Then Hope is looking for you! Seeking volunteers 13 and older for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, during the hours of 9am-1:30 pm. Work a half day, a whole day or both days. You choose your schedule. Lunch and beverage provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to portioning personal care items, bagging food product, stocking shelving, hanging and sorting clothing and more.
