Monday, June 8 — read Jeremiah 33:8
“I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.”
‭‭The wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23 tells us, but the gift of God given to us is eternal life; however, that gift came at a great expense, the death of God’s Son so that we might have life. Why? God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son for the purpose of cleansing, pardoning, and reconciling us back to Him. In truth, we owed a great debt that could never be paid, and God chose to pay our debts that He never owed. Which gives incredible and eternal meaning and value to the phrase, “To err is human; to forgive is divine.”
🎶 Thank you Lord for saving my soul, thank you Lord for making me whole; thank you Lord for giving to me, Thy great salvation so rich and free. 🎶

Friday, June 5 — read Jeremiah 33:17-18
“For thus says the Lord: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; nor shall the priests, the Levites, lack a man to offer burnt offerings before Me, to kindle grain offerings, and to sacrifice continually.’”
God had promised that there would always be a king and a priest of His choosing over Israel; however, none would ever be adequate for the task of leading righteously or bringing righteousness to the people…except One. A “Righteous Branch” was promised to come and lead as King and Priest of God’s people, sitting on the throne of David, and it was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Rather than offering sacrifices continually, He laid down His life and offered Himself, His own blood, once for all, and then He sat down at the right hand of God as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Thank You Lord for access!

Thursday, June 4 — read Jeremiah 33:1-3
“Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying, “Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’”
‭‭God showed up to meet with and talk to Jeremiah…while he was in prison…not to let him out, but to encourage him while he was in ‘doing time.’ Of course Jeremiah wasn’t in prison for his sins or wrongdoings; but for the sins and wrongdoings of others. Remember Joseph, John the Baptist, Peter, the Disciples, and Paul were all imprisoned in a similar manner; yet they remained faithful to God in spite of it. We may not be in a literal prison, as those men were, or as many believers are in various places in the world today; but whatever hard spot, shut in spot, hurtful spot, or lonely spot we find ourselves in, the Lord sees you, cares for you, visits you, and will answer you when you call on Him.
Remember how you get to make one phone call? Call on the Lord! (Not once, but often.) Rejoice in the Lord! (Not once but often.) Put your trust and hope in Him! (Not once but often.) He will hear, answer, and help you through victoriously!

Wednesday, June 3 — read Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”
What a powerful promise to God’s people in times past, a people who were many times faithful to God, and a people who were quite often unfaithful, sinful, rebellious, stubborn, and lacking faith. Yet, God continued to love them, was with them, strengthening them, and upholding them, lest they fall and fail, never to recover from their own failings or the enemy’s attacks. As Believers we don’t always get it right, have great faith, or follow God’s leading like we should; however, as we continue to look to the Lord for help, we can believe that He is with us, He will strengthen us, He will help us, and He will uphold us with His righteous right hand. A hand of holiness. A hand of love. A hand of power. A hand of provision. A nail-scarred hand.
Whatever you’re going through or facing today, reach up, His hand is extended and open to help you through!

Tuesday, June 2 — read Isaiah 40:29
“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.”
‭‭As the disciples spent three years with Jesus, they discovered that quite often they were vulnerable, weak, incapable, powerless, and unable to do anything about the situations the faced, be it hungry multitudes, lepers, catching fish, raging storms, or legions of demons; but Jesus seemed to have the might and power to change and endure in every situation. Throughout their time with Him, they discovered today’s truth from Isaiah 40:29, “when we are weak we can trust His power, and when we have no might He increases our strength,” which is why Paul declared, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Whatever you are facing and going through today, trust that God will give you power in your weakness and strength to make it through in Christ Jesus!

Monday, June 1 — read Isaiah 40:31
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
‭‭Life can be hard, frustrating, and exhausting due to busy-ness, schedules, working, errands, appointments, and just doing life. I’ve often called it a “Martha world,” requiring us to be busy doing all of the “important” things in life; but in the midst of all of that we need to take “Mary time,” sitting at the feet of Jesus. This is called “waiting on the Lord.” It’s here that we renew, rebuild, refuel, and reignite our faith and strength to fight the good fight, run the race, keep the faith, and get through each day with joy.

Friday, May 29 — read 2 Thessalonians 2:4
“But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.”
‭‭The Apostle Paul was commissioned to proclaim the Gospel to the world, serving as a missionary, church planter, and overseer of many churches, as well as giving insight, encouragement, and instruction to the Body of Christ. His desire was never to please men, but always to be pleasing to God, honoring the Lord, and ministering with integrity, understanding that God knows and tests the hearts. As believers, pastors, missionaries, evangelists, prophets, Sunday School teachers, parents, etc., who endeavor to love and serve the Lord, may we live and minister in a manner that isn’t for show, to impress, to perform, or to please others; but to minister, speak, share, love, and live the Gospel in spirit and truth, in love and patience, and in faithfulness and integrity, for God knows and tests our hearts and motives.
The world needs to hear and see the Gospel in a manner that is simple, relevant, and real, with Holy Spirit power, anointing, and love.
