Monday, June 8 — read Jeremiah 33:8
“I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.”
The wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23 tells us, but the gift of God given to us is eternal life; however, that gift came at a great expense, the death of God’s Son so that we might have life. Why? God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son for the purpose of cleansing, pardoning, and reconciling us back to Him. In truth, we owed a great debt that could never be paid, and God chose to pay our debts that He never owed. Which gives incredible and eternal meaning and value to the phrase, “To err is human; to forgive is divine.”
🎶 Thank you Lord for saving my soul, thank you Lord for making me whole; thank you Lord for giving to me, Thy great salvation so rich and free. 🎶
