Many of us struggle to slow down enough to truly notice and rest in the presence of the living God, especially when our lives are filled with disappointment, fear, troubling news, health concerns, and other heavy burdens. Sometimes it takes an unexpected pause, like a snow day or two, to create the space our souls have been longing for.
Today, hear the Lord’s loving invitation: “Be still.” Take a few intentional moments to do just that. Open your Bible and read Psalm 46 slowly, allowing its words to settle into your heart. Sit with its message. Breathe. Pray.
As you do, resist the urge to scroll, turn on the television, or busy yourself with tasks. Before your Creator, choose stillness. In that quiet place, may you be reminded that God is our refuge and strength - present, faithful, and near.
