"What Kind of Friend am I?" from Job 32.
Here's the powerful truth: feeling strongly about something doesn't make it godly. Elihu was angry, passionate, and convinced he was right. But James 1:19-20 reminds us that "the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God." We can't mistake age with wisdom or let our emotions drive our responses.

Unlike Job's friends, we have something they didn't—Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit within us. When we show up for others in their darkest moments, we have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. The question isn't whether we'll mess up (we're human, we will), but whether we'll represent Christ or something else.

So I'll ask again: What kind of friend are you? Will you speak truth in love, or just speak? Will you bring comfort through Christ, or just opinions?

What if we're more concerned about our reputation than our relationship with God?

This Sunday, we journeyed through Job 31, where Job makes his final defense—not to prove his perfection, but to reveal his heart. He didn't wait for failure to set boundaries. He made covenants with his eyes, guarded his integrity, treated everyone with dignity, and kept his security in God alone. Job's life was an open book before the Almighty.

Here's the challenging question: If someone told you there was unrighteousness in your life versus a lack of integrity, which would break your heart more? Job knew his Redeemer lives (Job 19:25), and that's what mattered most. Righteousness can't be taught—it must be learned through surrender to Christ. How we treat those who can't benefit us, how we guard our hearts before temptation strikes, and how open we are before God reveals where we truly stand.

Don't wait for failure to hit!

Here's the powerful truth: when life feels unseen, unvalued, and overwhelming, God sees you, God hears you, and God has NOT forgotten you. Job knew his Redeemer lived (Job 19:25), and we have that same promise through Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53 reminds us that Jesus himself was despised and overlooked, yet He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. You are seen. You are heard. You are valued by the God who gave everything for you.
