The book of Revelations is often taught as something too scary and too confusing to read so most stay away from it, but look at what verse 3 of chapter 1 says.

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. (Revelation 1:3)

The book of Revelation is not scary nd it doesn’t have to be confusing. If you’ve ever been curious or wanted to know more about it, stay tuned because we will be going through it starting next month.

Notice how he said “no one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except in the Holy Spirit”. He didn’t just say that Jesus is the savior, but that Jesus is Lord. Jesus is master. Jesus is the owner. Yes Jesus becomes our savior when we believe in Him to save us, but that just the beginning. Jesus wants to be the Lord and ruler of our lives.

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10, ESV)

This abundance is not just monetary wealth. He wants to give you a peace that surpasses all understanding. Joy that is found in the midst of every trial. Patience that is rooted in care and understanding. A desire to do good in such an evil world. Kindness and gentleness in such a harsh and rude reality. A firm foundation of faithful that cannot be shaken. Self control that leads you into paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. A purpose beyond comprehension.

Most importantly (in my opinion) a love that we have always wanted and longed for but never deserved. He wants to make you whole again or for the first time ever. He wants to give you an inheritance within His kingdom.

To beauty and power of asking Jesus to be your savior, goes beyond words and comprehension, how much more so when you let Him become Lord over your life.
