FBC exists to reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference. Regular Weekly Schedule:

WHEN GOD LOOKS DOWN, HE DOESN'T SEE YOU

When God looks down on you, He doesn't see you.
That's the best news you'll ever hear.

We're no longer slaves to the law.
The swap: freed from the law, now belonging to Him.

We water it down to "servant."
The real word is slave.
We've been bought with a price. We're His.

Abraham just said yes and moved forward,
trusting God to do everything He promised.

Jesus bought our freedom by becoming a curse for us.
He was our substitute. He paid what we couldn't.

God couldn't even look at His own Son in that moment.
He had become our curse.

Without Jesus, when God looks down, He sees a curse.
That's where we all start.

Step out in faith, trust Him, don't add to it.
God no longer sees your sin. He sees His Son.
That's the swap that sets us free.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A CHURCH IS LYING TO YOU?

There's a simple way to test any church's teaching: look at how they view Jesus.

If they get Jesus wrong, everything else falls apart. Most false gospels start right there.

But there's a bigger pattern worth knowing. Author Alisa Childers identifies nine ways churches drift from the gospel, and they all circle back to who Jesus is.

The list includes denying that Jesus actually died for our sins, denying His deity, denying the resurrection, and denying the virgin birth.

It also includes denying the Trinity, denying Jesus' sinless life, denying the authority of the Bible, denying sin as our core problem, and denying the atonement altogether.

Nine points. All of them tied to a distorted view of Jesus. This is what it looks like when a church trades the gospel for a social agenda.

So, the next time you're evaluating a church or a teaching, start with Jesus. What they believe about Him will tell you everything.

WHY RULES CAN'T SAVE YOU (AND WHAT ACTUALLY DOES)

We all have a tendency to add requirements to things that don't need them.

And churches aren't immune. Sometimes we look at people's performance and quietly wonder if their faith is real.

Are you baptized? Do you attend every week? Do you volunteer? We start measuring people by a checklist.

But here's the problem: when we add those requirements to faith, we're polluting the message.

Baptism matters. Showing up matters. Serving matters. But none of those things save you. The Bible is clear on that.

When we add works to faith, we're not protecting the gospel. We're changing it into something it was never meant to be.

There's only one truth about how people are made right. Not your truth, not our truth, but one objective truth that doesn't shift based on who's deciding.

And that truth is either worth protecting or it isn't. We can't hold it loosely and call ourselves faithful to it.

So, guard what you believe and who you believe it about. The gospel doesn't need our additions. It just needs our trust.
