Hello Bethany family & friends, the message this morning was "The Labor We Owe One Another". In a world that often measures human worth by productivity, achievement, and usefulness, the gospel reminds us that our deepest calling is not simply to accomplish more, but to become people whose lives are shaped by the never-finished work of loving one another. The scripture readings were Romans 13:8-14 and Matthew 18:15-20. Our Chancel Choir sang a beautiful rendition of "Creation Will Be at Peace".

Hello Bethany Family & Friends, today's message was "When Love Gets Difficult". Having offered ourselves to God as living sacrifices, Paul now calls us to embody that offering in a love that is genuine, hospitable, compassionate, courageous, and stubbornly committed to overcoming evil with good. The scriptures were Psalm 26:1-8 and Romans 12:9-21. Our ladies chorus sang a beautiful rendition of "God Is Calling Us."

Hello Bethany Family & Friends, The message this morning was "Climbing Onto the Alter". The grace of God does not simply ask us to believe something about Christ, it gathers our whole lives onto the alter, renews our minds, and turns a collection of different people into one body called to serve.
The scripture readings were Psalm 138 and Romans 12:1-8.
Our special music was a beautiful rendition of "At the River" by the talented Jasmine Hinchman.

Hello Bethany Family & Friends, today's message was "More Than Enough for the Journey", and the scriptures were Romans 9:1-5 and Matthew 14:13-21. In a world that teaches us to measure scarcity, God invites us to trust the abundance of divine grace, where the smallest offering placed in Christ's hands becomes more than enough to satisfy the deepest hunger of the world.

Our 3rd quarter Feed My Sheep donations will go to New Beginnings, a transitional living program for men, women, and children who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The New Beginnings campus consists of 7 on-campus homes, where survivors are able to live for up to a year rent and utility cost-free. During their year stay, residents are encouraged to begin their healing journey and develop the independent living skills they need to live a violent-free lifestyle. The campus also consists of an on-site counseling center, and a trauma-focused childcare center,

Residents are each assigned an advocate who works with them in both group and individual settings, supporting them in areas such as the criminal process as they seek justice against their abusers, furthering their education, finding unique career opportunities that allow them to financially support themselves and their children, and finally to obtain permanent housing within the community.

The New Beginnings Childcare Center and counseling center not only serves those within the residential program but also members of the community. The childcare center is the only trauma-focused childcare in the state of New Mexico and thrives on highly trained staff with low child-to-teacher ratio classrooms. A special fact about the center is the Summer program, which allows all children (regardless of income) to attend unique activities within the community at no charge to the parents.

They are requesting school supplies for children in their program and craft supplies for their daycare center. Please bring your donations by this Sunday, Aug. 2nd, and they will be delivered on Monday. They can also use monetary donations, and checks can be payable to Bethany Christian Church with "New Beginnings" in the memo section. Thank you for your generosity!
