Another joyful Sunday at St. Mary Magdalene Byzantine Catholic Church as we welcomed Asher Dexter into the Church through the Holy Mystery of Christian Initiation!

In the Byzantine Catholic tradition, Baptism is more than a beginning. It is a full initiation into the life of Christ and His Church. Through Baptism, Chrismation, and receiving the Holy Eucharist, Asher has been united to Christ, sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, and welcomed to the Lord's Holy Table.

This beautiful mystery reminds us that we are called to grow in faith each day, surrounded by the love, prayers, and support of our parish family.

Please join us in congratulating Asher and the entire family on this blessed occasion. May God grant him a lifetime of faith, hope, and love as they walk with Christ, and may their family continue to be strengthened by His abundant blessings.

To make sure there’s enough to go around, we’re limiting purchases to 2 dozen per flavor per customer.

Save the date and join the fun! Our next Pinching Saturday is scheduled for June 27th, and we’d love to have you be part of it! With several of our regular pinchers already expecting scheduling conflicts, we could really use your help. No experience needed.

Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or brand new, we are so grateful for each and every one of you. This tradition wouldn’t be possible without your support, and we’d love for you to jump in and make a difference with us!

Today our parish family was filled with joy as we celebrated three of our ECF students who received their First Confession and made their Profession of Faith. These beautiful milestones mark important steps in their journey with Christ. Through First Confession, they experienced God's loving mercy and forgiveness, and through their Profession of Faith, they publicly affirmed their commitment to the faith and traditions of our Church.

Over the past months, these students worked diligently in their classes, preparing their hearts and minds for this sacred day. Their faith was also reflected in action as they not only met but exceeded their goals for the diaper drive service project, generously serving families in need and living out Christ’s call to love and care for others.

Congratulations to Konstantyn, Nixon, and Luke, and to their families on this blessed and memorable occasion! We pray that the grace they received today continues to guide them, strengthen them, and deepen their love for God throughout their lives.

A special thank you to their teacher, Georgie, whose dedication, patience, and care helped prepare them for these important sacraments. Your commitment to sharing and nurturing the faith has made a lasting impact on these students and their families.

What a successful Pierogi Pinching Saturday!

We had more than double the number of pinchers compared to our last session, and the smiles were all around. Thanks to everyone's hard work and teamwork, we even finished the pinching process early!

We are incredibly grateful to each and every person who came out to support, learn, and help carry on our cherished traditions. Whether you're a seasoned pincher or joining us for the first time, your time and dedication make all the difference.

Because of your efforts, we'll have plenty of Potato & Cheese pierogi, a good number of Sauerkraut pierogi, and even a few dozen Blueberry pierogi available for sale next Friday!

Missed out this time? Don't worry. Our next scheduled Pierogi Pinching Saturday is June 27th. Several of our regular volunteers won't be able to attend, so we can use all the helping hands we can get. No experience is necessary, we're always happy to teach!

We’re looking for helping hands to pinch pierogi! Whether you’re a seasoned pincher or brand new, we’d love to have you join us.

The more people we have, the sooner we finish (usually around 1 PM)! Have your book club, Bible study group, family, and friends join. It’s a fun, social way to serve and keep this delicious tradition going.

If you’ve been thinking about helping out, this is a great way to jump in. All are welcome!
