Our service yesterday in the second week of our Lessons in Leadership series where I preached on "Acceptance" based on Exodus 3:1-15 & Matthew 16:21-28, where Moses encounters God in the burning bush and where Jesus rebukes Peter for being a stumbling block to his mission and reminds him that he will have to pick up his own cross. The message focuses on moving from resistance and reluctance to God's call to acceptance.

Join us this coming Sunday, August 30th at 10:15 a.m. for the second week in our "Lessons in Leadership" series. Pastor Dave Pettengill will be preaching on the theme of "Acceptance." We will read Exodus 3:1-15 about Moses' reluctance to accept God's call, and Matthew 16:21-28 where Peter begins to understand how costly it will be to follow Christ. We will then reflect on how we can move from reluctance to acceptance of God's call on our lives.
