My Beautiful Wife,
Dionne Sharice Goree,
As I sit and reflect on this Mother’s Day, my heart is filled with gratitude for the woman God strategically placed in my life at the exact moment I needed you most. What He sent me was far greater than companionship. He sent me strength when I was weak, peace when life felt heavy, wisdom when I was uncertain, and love that carried me through seasons I could not navigate alone.
There came a point in my journey where I felt exhausted mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Life had taken its toll, and in many ways, I felt like I had reached the limit of what I could carry on my own. In that season, God allowed you to step into my life and help carry the baton when I no longer had the strength to continue at the pace I once did. Your presence became a source of restoration, stability, encouragement, and healing.
You have been far more than a wife to me. Through every challenge, transition, and responsibility, you have stood beside me as my friend, my advocate, my counselor, my prayer partner, and my lifelong legacy partner. Your love has covered places in my life that words cannot fully explain.
One thing I deeply appreciate about you is the way you have loved me through both my strengths and my flaws. You have seen me under pressure, carrying burdens, navigating responsibilities, and trying to balance the many demands of life, leadership, family, ministry, and business. Even during moments when I was not operating at my best emotionally or mentally, you remained committed, patient, and supportive.
At the same time, I want to acknowledge something openly and honestly. There have been moments where I failed to give you the consideration you deserved. At times, stress, pressure, frustration, and my own internal battles affected the way I communicated or responded. Looking back, I recognize there were moments when I could have listened better, loved better, and been more sensitive to your feelings and sacrifices.
Please know this clearly from my heart: it has never been my intention to hurt you, offend you, disrespect you, or make you feel unappreciated. Even in moments where my actions or words may have fallen short, my heart has always carried love, admiration, and respect for you. For every time I missed the mark, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness.
You are an extraordinary woman, and I never want my shortcomings to overshadow how deeply I value you. The strength you carry as a mother, the wisdom you walk in as a woman of God, and the love you pour into our family deserve to be celebrated and honored continuously.
I admire the grace you show under pressure. I admire your ability to nurture, lead, encourage, and still remain compassionate toward others while carrying so much yourself. Your presence brings warmth into our home, balance into my life, and perspective into situations where I may not always see clearly.
Truthfully, there are parts of me that have healed because of your love. There are battles I survived because you stood beside me. There are dreams I still believe in because your encouragement helped breathe life back into me when I was discouraged.
Thank you for believing in me during seasons where I struggled to believe in myself.
Thank you for loving me intentionally.
Thank you for covering our family with prayer, wisdom, and strength.
Most importantly, thank you for being the woman God chose specifically for me.
On this Mother’s Day, I want you to know that you are honored, valued, appreciated, cherished, and deeply loved. I do not take your sacrifices lightly, and I never want you to question the significance of your place in my life.
You truly are one of Heaven’s greatest gifts to me.
Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing woman in my life.
Forever Yours,
Royce S. Goree
