What is your reaction to the end of this week? Do you wish it could last forever or are you glad its over?
God offers to reset our thinking each first day of the week by reminding us of all the reasons for viewing it as the Lord's Day. We needed the Lord last week. We will need the Lord this week. So, what will you do on the Lord's Day?
If you're in the Fairbanks area, come consider (and maybe reconsider) what preaching is and what the message is. We'll open a Bible to find the answer. We'd be glad to meet you at 9:30AM and 5:30PM.
--At 9:30AM, we'll discuss the family of Gideon. We'll study "Preaching the Gospel" during our 10:30 assembly and "Preaching Christ" during our 5:30PM assembly.

Its been a busy week for all of us, one way or another. Maybe next week looks to be even busier! Each Lord's Day, God is looking for true worshipers who are willing to be busy honoring Him and encouraging others. And He promises to bless this choice. The resurrection of Jesus offers "fuel" for this choice. Will you remember Him?
If you're in the Fairbanks area, come consider some choices in Hebrews during our 10:30AM assembly and Joshua's courage during our 5:30PM assembly.
At 4:50PM, all children are invited to "Remember Your Creator," where we learn more about who God is.
This is what God deserves. This is what we need!

What we call "Sunday," God calls "the Lord's Day." At the beginning of each week, we can look back to God's gifts and offers, and we can look ahead to what God has promised. All of that is certain because on the first day of the week, Jesus arose from the dead. If He is your hope, this day ought to be your plan. God deserves it. We need it.
If you are in the Fairbanks area, we'd be glad to meet you at 9:30AM and 5:30PM (and Wednesday at 7PM). Songs, prayers, Scripture, and the memorial of Jesus' death gives you opportunities to learn more about God, others, and yourself. God deserves it. We all need it.

1 Peter 3:15 tells Christians who suffer to prepare to explain their the reason for their willingness to suffer. Colossians 4:5-6 urges wisdom when answering "those who are outside." We'll apply this to the four questions we considered in last week's lesson.
In God's plan, the Lord's Day is filled with opportunities to remember Him, reexamine ourselves, and continue the commitment to spread the gospel.
If you're in the Fairbanks area, we would be glad to see you at 9:30AM and 5:30PM!

What are you prepared for? 1 Peter 3:15 teaches God's people to be be ready to give a reason for their hope. This was written to Christians who were enduring a "fiery trial" (1 Pet. 1:6), so how does it apply today? This is just one of the lessons we'll learn together.
Each Lord's Day gives us other things to prepare for and to remember the preparations God made and accomplished when Jesus came to this earth for a few years. The first day of the week reminds us that Jesus died and that he arose. Confidence in this knowledge prepares us for many, many things. What are you ready for?
If you are in the Fairbanks area, we'd be happy to meet you at 9:30AM and 5:30PM!
