💛 We had a wonderful Jubilee Celebration in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, yesterday! Many Sisters, family and friends turned out to show their gratitude to four Sisters whose Godly example of service, love and commitment inspires us all: Sisters Josita Colbert, Maureen O'Brien, Claire Pierz and Maureen Toomey, SNDdeN. Thank you, Sisters, for all you have done to serve our good God for the past 70 years!

🌎 Honor the Season of Creation by learning how you can care more intentionally for God's Earth. One big problem we face around the world is plastic pollution, and there are a few ways to learn more:

2-Attend Catholic Climate Covenant's webinar called "Moving Beyond Plastics in a Throwaway Culture” on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. ET. https://bit.ly/4yaTKZP

3-Live like Sister Judianne Beltz, SNDdeN! Here are her tips:
❌ Support any ban on single-use plastic bags, cutlery, lids, straws, etc.
🗑️ Support bills putting disposal responsibility on manufacturers, not municipalities.
🍽️ When eating out, refuse plastic items if possible. Bring your own utensils!
🛍️ Bring your own cloth shopping bags.
💧 Give up bottled water; invest in a refillable water bottle.
‼️ When replacing worn plastic household items, buy wood, metal, glass or ceramic instead.

Caring for God's creation is everyone's responsibility. We CAN make a big impact with small lifestyle changes. Be part of the solution!
