We are truly blessed to be celebrating our 60th year as a parish community. We wish to thank everyone who journeyed with us through the years. From our humble beginning in a garage during the 60’s to our present-day home along Marine View Avenue, Saint Mark Catholic Church has been and always will be, a place where God’s love and glory shine!

Let us join the world in prayer for the eternal rest of our beloved Pope Francis.

With sadness we mourn the passing of Pope Francis.

Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone released the following statement this morning:

"Upon learning the news of Pope Francis’ passing, let us join together in prayer that the Lord may grant him safe passage to the heavenly Kingdom, and give him the reward of God’s good and faithful servants. The outpouring of prayers, good will and love for our Holy Father not only from Catholics but from people of different faiths all over the world is edifying and personally fills me with gratitude.

Pope Francis called on us all to give more, sacrifice more, and care more about the poorest and most vulnerable, from the tiny infant in the womb, to the elderly and infirm, to the migrant and the refugee. Let us take inspiration from his words and example and put that inspiration into action. That is the greatest tribute we could give to him.

Eternal rest grant unto Pope Francis, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."

Today, March 1st, we walked for PEACE, carrying crosses to honor victims of violence in the SF Bay Area. We listened to stories of grief and testimonies of faith, hope and community support. We prayed for an end to violence. Thank you to the Bay Area community who joined us at Saint Mark Catholic Church, Belmont for this very special event gathering.

Happy Anniversary, Saint Mark Catholic Church! On September 1, Sunday, we celebrate the 59th year of our parish.

A Prayer for our Parish Community - - Lord, unify our parish in Your truth. Help us to show Your love to one another both within and outside our community. We pray that each individual and every family may all be blessed. May we continue to grow in Your wisdom with the help of our patron Saint Mark and our Blessed Mother. Through Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life and who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
