Road stories have always carried deeper meaning. From Odysseus to Pilgrim’s Progress to The Lord of the Rings, the journey is never just about the road itself.
In 2 Kings 2, Elijah and Elisha walk a final road together. Elisha walks back again alone. Every stop carries memory, loss, transition, and the question of what happens when the leader everyone depended on is suddenly gone.

This journey through grief, transition, misplaced questions, and faithful perseverance points us to the God who remains present when everything else changes.
