Father Manny will be celebrating a healing service including mass tomorrow afternoon at St. John in Henry. He begins hearing confessions at 3 PM and mass follows at approximately 4 PM following the mass, the healing service will begin. Please share with others who might like to attend this beautiful celebration.

Another update! Not the news I was hoping to share. She was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer! She is still in the hospital and as soon as she is strong enough, she will move to New Orleans for treatment. Her family lives in New Orleans and she will be able to get good care there. Please please continue to pray for her God bless everyone who took a moment to remember her in prayer. UPDATE : h the surgery was  was successful, but took a little longer than expected. She is now resting in the ICU unit and hopefully we’ll be moved to a regular room once everything stabilizes. Please continue to lift her up in prayer. She has a long road to recovery, but with our prayers and thoughts, she will get there! Thank you and God bless. Prayer warriors, please lift up a special friend of several parishioners at St. John in prayer. She is having a major surgery tomorrow on her lungs and needs our prayers. I know she would appreciate all of our prayers, as she is very scared to be undergoing such a major surgery. God bless! 🙏🙏🙏

We legitimately feared that in losing Notre-Dame, we would lose something infinitely precious—indeed, something that our souls cannot live without.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Henry is now registering students for Catechism!

Grades K-4th will be taught on every other Tuesday from 4:15-5:15pm. Classes will begin in October and conclude at Easter.

As we grow, we are also looking for anyone interested in assisting with classes.

Those interested in registering a child or assisting with classes can contact me or the church office (337-937-5108) for more information!
