Satan is the ultimate counterfeit artist. In Revelation 13, we see two beasts rising up, mimicking the power, worship, and authority that belong to God alone. A wounded head that appears healed, false signs and wonders, counterfeit marks of allegiance -- all designed to deceive and draw people away from the one true King.

But here is what we must not miss: the beast was only "allowed" to act (Revelation 13:5,7). Nothing happens outside of God's sovereign hand. The death blow to Satan was already struck through Christ's death and resurrection, just as promised in Genesis 3:15.

As we navigate a world full of competing allegiances -- political, cultural, and religious -- we are called to endure in faith and give our ultimate loyalty to the Lamb, not the beast. Do not spend so much time looking for the beast that you forget to look to the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world.

This Sunday, we’ll gather as a church family to worship, hear God’s Word, partake in the Lord’s Supper, and share a meal together.

Pastor Doug will be preaching from Revelation 13:1–18, “The Dragon’s Helpers: The Two Beasts.” As we continue through Revelation, we’re reminded of the battle for worship and allegiance in this world. Yet our hope is not in ourselves or in the strength of our faith, but in Christ, who is worthy and who faithfully holds His people fast.

🎶 We will sing:
Turn Your Eyes - Sovereign Grace Music
He Will Hold Me Fast - Keith and Kristyn Getty
It Is Well With My Soul - Audrey Assad
Worthy Is the Lamb - Hillsong
New Doxology - Gateway Worship

The Christian life is not lived as though the outcome is uncertain.

Christ has already secured the victory, and His people are called to live faithfully in light of that reality. We proclaim the gospel, endure suffering, and refuse to surrender our hope because we belong to the One who has overcome.

Our testimony is not about how strong we are.
It is about how faithful He is.

The foundation of our assurance is not how strongly we believe, but Who we believe in.

Our feelings can waver. Our memories can accuse us. Our consciences can remind us of sins we wish we could undo.
But Christ does not change.

When our confidence is resting in Him rather than in ourselves, we can look honestly at our sin without despair because our hope has never been our own righteousness. It has always been Christ.

Whatever this week has brought, we can rest in this: our confidence is not in our own strength, but in the faithfulness of our God.

He is the One who establishes us. He is the One who guards us. And He will not fail to keep His people.

May this be an encouragement to you today: the Lord is faithful. Keep trusting Him, keep walking with Him, and rest in His care.

Each month, we have the opportunity to bless families right here in our community through Mothers Helping Mothers South County. It’s a simple way to provide practical support and remind local moms and their children that they are loved and cared for.

This month, they have a specific need for:

👕 Boys’ clothing — sizes 12M - 4T
👗 Girls’ clothing — size 3T

If you’d like to help, simply bring your donations with you on Sunday and give them to our wonderful volunteers at the Welcome Table in the lobby.

Thank you for helping us love and serve our community in a tangible way! 💛

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals a God whose purposes cannot be thwarted.

What He has spoken, He will accomplish.
What He has promised, He will fulfill.
And what He has begun, He will bring to completion.

That means our confidence is not found in circumstances looking favorable. It is found in the character of the God who rules over them. Because God’s plan has never depended on the absence of opposition.

In Revelation 12, we see a cosmic battle that has been raging since Genesis 3 -- a dragon determined to destroy God's people, and a God whose purposes cannot be stopped. Satan stands ready to devour, accuse, and destroy. But the child is born, ascended, and reigns. The dragon's fury is real, but so is his defeat.

The great news of this passage is that we conquer -- not by the strength of our faith, but by the blood of the Lamb. Like the Israelites who placed blood on their doorposts, our standing before God rests not on the intensity of our faith but on the object of it: Jesus Christ, the risen King who rules with a rod of iron.

Satan knows his time is short. But for those covered by the blood of the Lamb, death has lost its grip. We have nothing to fear. Come hear more this Sunday as we continue through the book of Revelation.

Join us this Sunday at Risen King Bible Church!

Pastor Doug will preach from Revelation 12:1–17, “The Man-Child and Woman Versus the Dragon.” Revelation pulls back the curtain on a spiritual conflict that has been unfolding throughout Scripture. The dragon wages war against Christ and His people, but his opposition is not the final word.

Christ has conquered. Satan has been cast down. And God keeps His people.

Come worship with us as we hear God’s Word, sing of Christ’s finished work, and remember that our hope does not rest in our strength, but in the victory of our King.

We’ll singing the following songs together:
All I Have Is Christ — Sovereign Grace Music
By Faith — Keith & Kristyn Getty
Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me — CityAlight
Only a Holy God — CityAlight
Holy Forever — Chris Tomlin
