Condolences for Ms. Shirley

We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Ms. Shirley. She was such a sweet and kind woman. Someone whose presence brought warmth to everyone around her. We truly cannot remember a time we went to Walmart and didn’t see her there, greeting customers with a smile, a kind word, or simply her calming presence.

Twenty-eight years is a long time to serve a community, and Ms. Shirley did it with grace, patience, and unwavering kindness. We were told that she would come in often on her days off and work. She wasn’t just an employee, she was part of what made that place work. Her familiar face and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

To her Family, Friends, coworkers, and those whose lives she touched, Please accept our heartfelt condolences on behalf of our Pastor, Elder William White, our First Lady, Elder Ashley Nicole Lucas-White, and the entire membership of Helping Families to Live Ministries. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May her memory live on in the kindness she shared so freely.

Important Announcement

Please note: There will be no service at our church on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

Instead, we will be joining the 11:00 AM worship service at Friendship Baptist Church in Kenbridge, VA, as we come together to honor and celebrate the Pastoral Anniversary of Pastor Elmus Morgan Jr and First Lady Jackie Morgan. Our very own Pastor William White will be delivering the message for this special occasion. Let’s show up in love and support!
