SPECIAL INVITATION TO MESSIANIC PASSOVER DEMONSTRATION

The public is invited to this special presentation hosted by the Jewish Culture and Customs class of MBBIS Tuesday, April 21 @ 6:30 PM. Dr. Joseph Harris is the instructor of this class and will be the presenter. This special event presents and explains the four cups of the Passover and shows how the Messiah and Savior, Jesus, is revealed though the authentic food, fruit of the vine and implements used in this presentation. It also reveals the connection between the Passover, and especially the third cup, to the Lord's Supper. Everyone's view of the Lord's Table will be enhanced with greater understanding from this event. The presentation will last about 45 minutes. Central Baptist Church is located at 509 Blank St. in Ellisville, MS and MBBIS is located directly behind the church with an entrance from Mill Street. If arriving at the front of the church, take the drive directly to the left of the auditorium to the back parking lot and entrance to the school. If bringing a group, please text and let us know how large the group where we can be prepared for seating.

Please pray for Shannon, one of our faithful men at Central.

Most of you know our Market Manager, Mr Kevin Green(on the left). He is posing with one of our long-time, faithful employees of Piggly Wiggly, Mr Shannon Coughlan. Shannon was recently diagnosed with an unusual cancer of the knee. He worked with Piggly Wiggly for over 9 years and was loyal to his boss and friendly to his fellow co-workers. Everyone loves Shannon.
Today, he went through a major surgery to amputate his right leg. Unfortunately, the leg could not be saved. The surgery went well, Shannon will be in a long recovery process.
Many of our customers have asked about Shannon. We wanted to post this happy picture and ask that you pray for his speedy recovery and for adjusting to this permanent change in his life. Although Shannon won't be able to return to work with us, he will be missed terribly. You could always count on Shannon to make you laugh or lend a helping hand here at the store. He expressed before the surgery just how much he would miss seeing everyone and miss his customers. I'm sure someone will show him this post when he is able to view it. As I reflect on the goodness of God, I am thankful for many things. Right now, my focus is on thanking God for Central Baptist Church in Ellisville where I have been pastor for 23 years. I am thankful for the good folks who make up this congregation. To remain at the same church for 23 years speaks more highly of the church than the pastor. They have stood by me through good and bad times. They have followed my leadership in everything I have ever asked of them, except one time, and they were right, I was not. We are small, but close. God has answered many of our prayers and led us into many new ministries over the years, and blessed all of those ministries. Thank you to Central Baptist Church and to God for allowing me to be their pastor. It is the best church I have pastored in my 43 years of ministry. -Joseph H. Harris

Remember, classes begin Monday January 13, 2025. If you have not enrolled for your classes yet, please email [email protected] which classes you plan on taking or text 601-498-8418. Registration is open through January 31st, but don't until then or you will miss the first two weeks of classes. Also, we will be meeting in our new building so everyone will be able to park in the back of the church at the new building and enter the new main entrance on the end. You can also enter from the Mill Street entrance as well as the 509 Blank Street entrance.
