From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD."

Jeremiah 23:24 NIV

One of the attributes of God is He is omnipresent. God is everywhere and no matter what we do, say, think or feel, God knows it.

We should stop trying to hide things, confess them, deal with them and grow in the Lord, and when we understand this attribute of God, and that you cannot hide anything, it should keep things in perspective.

God is good, and if you have never made Jesus Christ Lord of your life, today is the perfect day to make that perfect decision, AMEN!!

To God be the glory!!

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one."

2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV

What an amazing promise from our Lord!!

God is our protector, especially from the unseen spiritual forces of darkness.

If we could only see into the spiritual realm, we would see how much God truly protects us from all the evil attacks from the enemy!!

And when we are beat up by the enemy, we would also see how much God strengthens us, even when we feel weak. Just consider how weak you would truly be if you were not under the covering, and protection, of God.

Thank you, Father for your protection, and your strength, in the mighty name of Jesus!!!

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Isaiah 40:31 NIV

What an awesome verse that causes us to pose one very important question, who, or what, is your hope in?

When you trust in the Lord, look at what God promises: Strength! Perseverance! Endurance! There are many other things that I could list, but the point is, when we trust in the Lord, and the Lord alone, we tap into all the Lord has, and that is endless, for all our needs, AMEN!!

Today, surrender your heart to Jesus, there is no other way to go! Hallelujah!!!

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"The LORD will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

Psalm 121:7-8 NIV

What a beautiful picture of how much God loves us, and protects us!

Not only does the Lord watch over us now, and forevermore, but He also keeps us from harm which is protection.

I can't tell you how many times I can remember that the Lord completely protected me in situations, times I should have been hurt, or even killed., and yet, nothing happened to me.

We all have things we can remember like that.

Today, remember how much God loves you! So much so, His eyes are forever on you and His protection is as well.

Praise be to God!!

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."

Psalm 91:1 NIV

When we put ourselves in God presence, when we trust in Him and we walk in His ways, we will find rest!

We all got weary and tired and the only place we can find rest is in the presence of God almighty!

Who are you resting in?

Choose Jesus!!!

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?"

Mark 8:36 NIV

What a great question.....

People are so busy chasing money, fame and fortune that they have taken their eyes off of the prize, the one prize, that matters.

With all the worldly riches, what about what happens when you die and leave this world?

Listen, there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ! Stop worrying about the riches you can attain in this world and stop pleasing the flesh and trying to show everybody what you have done.

Do what you do to give God the glory, honor and praise. Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and start living for heavenly rewards and riches, for there is no other rewards worth working for!

The world offers nothing, but Jesus, He offers everything, eternal life.... What are you living for?

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,"

Ephesians 5:25-26 NIV

Man, husbands, what a difficult task, to love anybody, especially our wives, as Christ loves the church. which means we love them unconditionally, no matter what happens, you choose to love them the same, and give them all your heart.

We also need to pour into them, pour the Word into yourself and then pour it into your wife and then eventually your children. We need to wash ourselves, and our wives, with the Word of God!

To do that, you need to be in the Word, and in church, to get poured into.

Ask yourself, as a husband, am I doing what God has commanded me in this passage? If not, what do I need to change and work on to strive to accomplish this goal given by the Lord?

From the Desk of Pastor Frank Long:

"For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you."

Romans 12:3 NIV

Humility is KEY in walking with the Lord. We MUST be careful to not think we know more than everybody else and that we have all the answers.

We must always be humble and teachable. We can always learn, and we must always listen. If somebody was to come to me, in the right spirit, I would be more than willing to listen to what they have to say, I want to get closer to God and I know I am flawed.

When people go to you, or others, and they share Scripture with you, are you willing to receive correction? When we are not willing to receive correction, we say we know more than others, and even God if God has sent them, this is dangerous.

We must always be humble and teachable, when we are, it will lead us to a much more blessed path than the alternative which leads to correction and discipline.

Ask yourself today, am I teachable and listen to others, or do I shun godly counsel? In the end, the choice is yours.

I praise God for godly counsel!
