🌿 Celebrate Recovery Wrap-Up 🌿
What an incredible night at Celebrate Recovery! ❤️
First, we have to give a HUGE thank you to Chrissy and Jason for going above and beyond to bless us with an absolutely AMAZING meal! The pulled pork was incredible, and the macaroni and cheese and collard greens were the perfect sides. Everything was homemade, delicious, and made with so much love. You could truly taste the time and effort that went into preparing it. We are so blessed to have people willing to serve and love on our Celebrate Recovery family in such a special way. Chrissy and Jason, thank you just doesn't seem like enough! ❤️
And then came the DESSERTS! 😍🍰🧁
Oh my goodness… Devi, Terri, and Emma—you girls outdid yourselves! The desserts were absolutely AMAZING! They were beautiful, delicious, and definitely made the night even sweeter. We are so grateful for each of you and the love you put into blessing everyone. ❤️
It was truly a night filled with good food, great fellowship, worship, our lesson, and meaningful time in small groups.
A special thank you to Dave and Bob for leading us in worship through song. The music was beautiful and helped prepare our hearts for the evening. 🎶🙏
Our lesson on Forgiveness was such an important reminder that forgiveness isn't just about forgiving the other person—it's about setting ourselves free from the power that the hurt has over us.
💛 Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was okay.
💛 It doesn't mean we forget or pretend we weren't hurt.
💛 It doesn't always mean rebuilding a relationship or trusting someone again.
💛 Forgiveness means releasing the hurt, anger, and bitterness into God's hands instead of allowing it to continue controlling our hearts.
💛 And sometimes forgiveness is a process where we have to surrender that hurt to God again and again.
Then we moved into our small groups, where we have the freedom to share, take off the mask, be honest, pray for one another, and encourage each other. That's what makes Celebrate Recovery so special. We don't have to pretend. We don't have to have it all together. We can come exactly as we are. ❤️
We were blessed tonight—not just by the amazing food, but by the people, the fellowship, the worship, the encouragement, and the opportunity to walk this journey together.
We missed everyone who wasn't able to be with us tonight! You were missed, and we can't wait to see you next Friday! ❤️
Until then, keep taking it one day at a time, keep surrendering it to God, and remember:
We don't have to do this alone. Together, we can overcome! 🙏💚
