What if the biggest danger facing the Church isn’t that people stop believing in Jesus—but that we settle for a version of Christianity that doesn’t require actually following Him?

Discipleship becomes attendance.
Community becomes congregation.
Mission becomes programming.
Sacrifice becomes convenience.
And following Jesus becomes something we fit into our lives instead of the One we build our lives around.

The goal was never simply to go to church.

The call of Jesus is still the same:

“Follow Me.”

And that changes everything.

One of FAVORITE parts of my ‘job’ is getting to meet with, raise up, and develop new Elders to serve at Living Stones! When God calls men to lead and serve in His Church it’s a beautiful and powerful thing! It makes the devil tremble and fills the church with joy! Thankful for the men in the elder process right now! 🙌🏼

I often ask people I meet, simply out of curiosity and in good conversation, if they attend a church anywhere. If they tell me they don't, I inquire as to why?

They proceed to tell me that they simply don't believe in a God that is 'hateful', 'angry', 'waiting to punish people', 'distant', 'doesn't care about them', 'murderous', 'doesn't hear them', 'enjoys watching bad things happen to good people', makes them give up everything fun, Etc.

I think to myself...'Man, I don't believe in that 'god' either....I can't wait to tell them about Jesus.'

There will be some people who don’t like you but they can’t even really tell you why but someone told them something one time…

And there will be other people who come to love you because they find out you are nothing like people told them their perception was of you.

That’s why you don’t get in the weeds, preach Jesus and him crucified, love people and lead people who God either puts into your life or who are allowing you access into their life, speak honestly with truth and grace, and just stay faithful to your calling.”
