FACEBOOK GUIDELINES FOR FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF ELK RAPIDS

GUIDELINES REGARDING THE FACEBOOK POLICY:

Administrators of the First Presbyterian church of Elk Rapids Facebook are to use their best judgment and discretion when determining if a posting is appropriate per this policy. The Administrators if the First Presbyterian church of Elk Rapids Facebook, chosen by the Communication Ministry

Team, at their discretion, may remove offending posts and links. Members or persons posting such post or link will be notified in a timely manner of the administrator’s decision. The Administrators of the First Presbyterian church of Elk Rapids Facebook will monitor the Facebook site for policy violations. Administrators will follow the procedures detailed in the section below. Publicize and/or re-cap all events of the church.

2. Promote First Presbyterian Church events and programs.

3. Only use language that will build up and promote the ministry of the First Presbyterian church of Elk
Rapids.

4. Acknowledge members and friends of the First Presbyterian church that are making a difference. Focus on our members, our volunteers and where members or friends of the First Presbyterian
Church are recognized in the community.

5. Promote fundraising events sponsored by our youth of committees of the First Presbyterian Church. No political postings.

2. Promote a specific business or organization that is not connected to the First Presbyterian Church.

3. Post anything that specifically names individuals in a way that provides public notice that they will
be at a particular event or away from their home.

4. Use the First Presbyterian church in a way to promote gossip in the community.
