Today we celebrate all those who labor -- seen and unseen. We enjoyed an indoor service at 8:00 and outdoor worship and church picnic at 10:00! We are very thankful for the new playground with its cork flooring. All of the children seemed to enjoy it! Thank you to everyone who made today possible.

On Labor Day we recognize the communal need for work to sustain communities and families. Our scriptures invite us to understand that when we live in the Spirit no work is secular-all our work is made possible by the God who gifts us with abilities. Join us Sunday as we give thanks for the gifts God has given which allow us to work, and consider how all of our work can be an expression of worship and mission.

Gracious and loving God, thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit. We confess that we have sometimes allowed anger, fear, bitterness, prejudice, and envy to flavor our lives. Forgive us and renew us.

Holy Spirit, fill us again. Grow Your fruit within us—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Help us keep in step with You each day. May our words, choices, and relationships reflect the character of Jesus so that others may experience Your grace through us. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Today we circled our students and educators with a blessing and lesson on infusing the spirit in their daily activities. We wish all our students and educators and successful and gracious year! This afternoon we also met with many leaders of our church to inspire Infusion of the Spirit!
