You can win the argument and lose the person.

Scripture never tells us to use truth as a weapon.

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up…” — Ephesians 4:29

Sometimes the question isn’t, “Am I right?”

It’s, “Is the way I’m speaking helping build up someone I love?”

Being right matters.

But so does the person standing in front of you. ❤️

There’s a difference between quiet and whole.
A peacekeeper just needs today to go fine. A peacemaker actually wants the thing healed, which means asking the questions nobody wants to ask.

What’s true here? What would clarity cost us?

Somebody came to mind while you read that. Start there. 🙏

Join us this Sunday at 9 and 11 am as we continue our Peacemakers series ✌️

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted.” Psalm 34:18

If today is sitting heavy on you, remember that Jesus draws near to the brokenhearted. Today we remember and lift up in prayer all of those who were lost on that day as well as the family and friends who still feel an ache in their heart.

Ways to remember today:

UNITE WITH LIGHT — Orange light in your window or on your porch at 8:30 p.m., every night through Aug. 8.

STAR ON THE MOUNTAIN — Tonight at 8:30 the Star flashes 23 times. One for each life.

REMEMBRANCE OF AUGUST 3 — Photographs of all 23 victims on display in the City Hall Council Chamber Lobby, 300 N. Campbell, through Aug. 10.

BLOOD DRIVE — Tomorrow, August 4th, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., City Hall Breezeway, with Vitalant.

THE AUGUST 3 MEMORIAL — Viscount and Sunmount. Seven granite pillars, 23 names, 23 lights. Open all year, and it is a good place to sit when the day gets heavy.

We are El Paso Strong ❤️

One more Family Worship Sunday! 🎉

Because of our children’s building roof replacement, we’ve had the joy of worshiping together as one church family over the past few weeks—and tomorrow is our final Sunday all together before our kids head back to their classrooms.

Join us at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM as we worship, learn, and celebrate what God has been doing across every generation.

One House. One Family. One Mission.

We can’t wait to worship with you! ❤️

Sometimes unexpected circumstances become unexpected blessings.

Because of our children’s building roof replacement, our whole church family worshiped together again this Sunday. Kids, students, parents, and grandparents all gathered around God’s Word.

At the end of the service, our kids turned in their drawings and notes from the message. Every page was a reminder that they were listening, learning, and growing in faith.

This week we learned that the need is bigger than our hands, but the miracle is in the hands of Jesus. We’re grateful for a church where every generation gets to grow together. ❤️
