WINNING THE LOST AT ALL COST
1 Corinthians 9:22 | Matthew 5:16
Core Message:
Evangelism is more than telling people about Christ—it is showing people Christ through the way we live, serve, love, and engage them.
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9:22, “I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” Paul understood that reaching people requires meeting them where they are without compromising who God called him to be.
Then Jesus says in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
That means your life can become an evangelistic tool.
THE FOUR PICTURES OF EVANGELISM
1. SERVE — Meet a need.
Sometimes people encounter Christ through what you do before they ever hear what you say. Your service can open a door that preaching alone couldn’t.
2. REACH — Cross the distance.
Evangelism requires movement. We can’t only wait for lost people to walk into our spaces. We have to go where they are.
3. LISTEN — Hear the person.
Evangelism isn’t always about having the quickest answer. Sometimes it’s about genuinely hearing someone’s story, pain, questions, and experiences. Listening communicates value.
4. GO GET — Pursue the lost.
Jesus came “to seek and to save that which was lost.” Evangelism has urgency. There are people who may never come looking for God—but God can send you looking for them.
THE BIG IDEA
Presentation provokes curiosity.
How you carry yourself can make somebody ask:
“Why are you different?”
“Why do you have that peace?”
“Why do you treat people like that?”
“What makes you different?”
And that’s the opening.
You are the carrier.
Christ is the message.
Your life is the presentation.
Evangelism is the mission.
So we SERVE.
We REACH.
We LISTEN.
We GO GET.
Not because we’re trying to make ourselves look good—but so that when people see our lives, they ultimately see Christ and glorify the Father.
WINNING THE LOST AT ALL COST
The cost may be your comfort.
The cost may be your convenience.
The cost may be your time.
The cost may be your willingness to go beyond your circle.
But the goal isn’t simply to get people into a building.
The goal is to introduce people to Jesus.
