Rancho Los Amigos A ministry of Youth With A Mission. Serving the most vulnerable children of the greater Juarez area. We are discipling Mexico one child at a time!

At RLA, we bring hope to children who come from very difficult situations. We seek to reach, raise, and restore them by providing a safe and loving environment, nutritious meals, a well-rounded bilingual Christian based education, and hope and opportunities for the future. We believe that giving our kids the opportunity to grow in this positive environment alters their future.

Lunch at the lake and time on the row boats is a favorite of many! This evening we are preparing a Carne Asada to share with the JUCUM - YWAM Creel staff who have been so gracious to allow us to invade their place! Tomorrow we make the trek back home. Family traditions provide a deeper sense of belonging that we all desire. For the kids and teens at Rancho this weeklong vacation in Creel, Chihuahua is one of those traditions. Mixed in the week is a ton of small traditions that create that sense of belonging. Today 2 got marked off the list. #1, the hike from the base to the airport. Winding trails, up and down along the river, finding snakes, and enjoying each other’s company. This is something most have been waiting for, and it was epic. #2 happened this evening with a bonfire, worship time, and of course, S’mores!

So tomorrow all of the kids and teenagers from Rancho head out with all the staff from YWAM El Paso - Juárez for a little vacation. It’s always fun when preparing for an 8-9 hour drive through the desert and the A/C on one of the vans goes out. The mechanic couldn’t get tje part, so what do you do? You run to El Paso, buy the part and have Mr. Mike work his magic!

It’s 10:30 pm and we still have a ways to go! Will you pray for our trip tomorrow? We appreciate prayers for safe and cool travel as well as a great time together in the mountains! Check back for updates throughout the next few days!

This week a few of the teens from Rancho had the opportunity the attend the Siguiente Ola, Next Wave in English, summer camp. We are excited to continue to hear testimonies of how God used this time to draw close to them!
