Here are 3 mentality shifts we can make when we realize we are no longer slaves, but sons!
- The slave has a master. The son has a Father.
- The slave is an employee. The son is an heir.
- The slave is driven by duty. The son is driven by devotion.

Living a crucified life looks like this:
1. Crucify self (He must increase. I must decrease!)
2. Crucify my flesh (Choose this day whom you will serve.)
3. Crucify the world (Come out from them and be separate.)

Today, we honor the fallen. As we take a day of rest and many of us celebrate with our families and loved ones, we remember those who have one less loved one around the table. We honor their ultimate sacrifice that allows us the freedom to worship.

GRIT is our one-time class for anyone who wants to call District home and learn what it takes to be part of the District Family! We call it GRIT because it takes unshakable determination to stay rooted in faith and community even when life gets tough. Throughout the GRIT experience, we lean into how to use our time, talents, and treasures to build the Kingdom of God.

If you’re newer to District or you’ve never experience GRIT, this is your chance! We offer GRIT every 2nd and 4th Sunday, so this Sunday is your next opportunity. Register at district.church or through the link in our bio.
