Today we honor the life and legacy of Professor Eric Daniel—faithful shepherd, visionary leader, and devoted educator.

Since 2002, Professor Eric faithfully served as Senior Pastor of Hillside Church in Napa, CA, while also investing in leaders as adjunct professor for the SUM Bible College. He poured wisdom into countless students, teaching leadership, homiletics, and hermeneutics with clarity and conviction.

His heart was always to empower others in their spiritual leadership. Through the founding of Global Ministry Advance in 2023, he continued that mission—coaching ministers, missionaries, and Christian organizations toward greater health and purpose. Even while pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary, Eric modeled lifelong learning and steadfast dedication to his calling.

He will be forever treasured by the SUM family. His impact will continue in every life he strengthened, every leader he raised, and every heart he guided.
