How do you forgive when there is no apology coming? You still remember exactly what they said, and even just seeing their name can bring the whole thing right back to the surface...

This is where the mind of Christ begins changing how we respond. Colossians 3:13 tells us to forgive “as the Lord has forgiven you.” Jesus did not wait for us to make things right before extending grace; He bore the cost Himself, and those of us who have received that kind of mercy cannot keep demanding payment from everyone who has hurt us.

The hurt can still be acknowledged for what it was, but forgiveness frees you from rehearsing the debt and placing yourself in the position of collecting it. Entrust justice to God, release the resentment, and ask Christ to teach you how to see that person through the grace you have received.🙏🏼

You might know their face from Sunday, but you may have never heard what God has brought them through. This is TJ's Breakthrough Story. 🙌🏻

Growing up in a broken home, I experienced abandonment and a lot of emotional and spiritual pain. I never really felt like I belonged anywhere, and as I got older, that brokenness led me into a life of drug addiction and crime.

Then one day, someone told me there was a church they thought I might like. The very next Sunday, I walked into Breakthrough Church.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed with open arms. But even more importantly, I was being fed through the teaching of God’s Word. For someone who spent so much of his life feeling like he never belonged anywhere, God led me to a place where I finally do.

I’m finally home. ❤️

Children are always watching... They notice what we celebrate, what we prioritize, and where we turn for hope. Long before they understand every word we say, they are learning from the lives we live.

Next Sunday, we'll gather for Child Dedications as families publicly commit to raising their children in the instruction of the Lord and ask their church family to pray alongside them. It is always a meaningful reminder that building a Christ centered home is one of the greatest callings God gives parents.💙

Sooner or later, following Jesus will put you in a position where obedience costs you the approval of someone you care about. That is where the question of lordship becomes very real, because it is easy to agree with Christ when everyone around you agrees too.

Peter learned this when Jesus asked the disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” in Matthew 16. Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Every believer eventually has to answer that same question, because if Jesus truly is Lord, then His Word has authority over our relationships, opinions, desires, and decisions.

Following Jesus will cost you something in this world, but Christ is worthy of the cost. He died for sinners, rose from the grave, and reigns as Lord, so give Him your allegiance and let His Word determine where you stand.🙏🏼
