What does being a disciple truly mean? We hear this word frequently in Church, but what does it look like in today's world? Let's break it down together! ⬇️

💙 Follow: Take up your cross by aligning your desires and plans with Christ's path. Whether it's in your career, relationships, or personal growth, let Christ be your guide.

💙 Deny: Offer your sinful nature and habits to Christ, striving to honor Him in every aspect of your life. Recognize the parts of yourself that need transformation and actively choose to turn away from them. Surrender your will to His and seek to live in a way that glorifies Him.

💙 Learn: Always seek His wisdom and guidance. Dive into Scripture, engage in prayer, and surround yourself with a community that encourages lifelong learning.

💙 Obey: Be ready to answer God's call and take action. Be proactive in your faith, listen for His voice in your life, and have the courage to step out in faith.

Disciples don't just exist in the Bible. They exist today - in this Church.

Stop trying to earn God's grace! Allow yourself to receive it freely. 💙

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

In a world that emphasizes achievement and personal accomplishment, it can be difficult to grasp that God's grace is extended to us without conditions. Salvation through grace means we were not saved as a reward for our best efforts. Instead, it means we were saved despite our worst efforts.

If you find yourself trying to earn His grace each day, ask God to help you receive it freely without guilt. 🙏🏼

There's a difference in what you see versus what you focus on, and there is SO MUCH that God is doing that we miss because we're focused on the wrong things...

Life is loud, distracting, and chaotic, and when we get lost in the bigger picture of it all, we can start to think that God isn't working as much as He used to. But He is! And to see it, all you have to do is make the decision to focus on Him and Him alone! 🙏🏼

You need to know that you are not alone in this life! Not only is God with you, but there are people ready to receive you as you are, and walk beside you through all the storms and seasons of life! 💙

The community you need is waiting for you, and all you have to do is come hang out with us tomorrow. No masks, no pretending, just you as you are, surrounded by people who will love you for who you are! 🙌🏼

The best plans you could ever come up with pale in comparison to what God has for you! 🙌🏼

"But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” - 1 Corinthians 2:9 📖

So instead of trying to figure out every detail of what God is doing or wasting time coming up with your own plans, surrender to the Lord, and recognize that what He has for you will forever and always be BETTER! 💙

There's nothing magical about baptismal water. There's no special shift or miracle that takes place when you go under. Baptism is all about you sharing that you've been saved and redeemed by Jesus with the world! 🙌🏼

Baptism not only tells the world whose you are, but it solidifies the standards you live by, and it shows you to be a part of the body of Christ.

So do yourself a favor: if you want a relationship with God, but you're not willing to let go of the world just yet, don't get baptized. But if you are unashamed of who Jesus is and what He did for you, don't delay! Get baptized and let the world know that you belong to JESUS!

Real Christ-centered community is built on three things:

Truth. Accountability. Sacrifice.

Not vibes.
Not convenience.
Not “I’ll show up when it benefits me.”

Real community tells the truth in love, even when it stings.
Real community refuses to let you drift quietly.
Real community costs time, pride, comfort, and the right to care only about yourself.

If your version of “church family” requires no commitment, no correction, and no inconvenience, it may not be Christ-centered community at all. Jesus didn’t call us to casual attendance; He called us to carry one another’s burdens, confess our sins, forgive deeply, love faithfully, and stay rooted! 🙏🏼

Let’s stop settling for surface-level connections, and let’s build the kind of community that actually looks like Jesus!

May we never forget that the freedom we enjoy today was paid for by brave men and women willing to die to defend it. It's a blessing to live where we do, and we pray that this Memorial Day, we recognize and honor those who gave their lives for this country and for us! 🙏🏼💙
