People often aks why Christians, and a lot of evangelical Christians are often obsessed about sharing their faith or preaching to others. To that I will say , just a little shift in perspective will help you see the reasons a lot more clearly. Think of it this way: if you had news that you knew was going to save so many lives from terrible danger, would you see yourself as a good person if you kept it to yourself? I bet you wouldn't or if you suddenly found the cure for all cancers, would it be a good thing to keep the discovery to yourself, knowing that you could potentially save millions of lives, or would you share it with the world.
When Christians share our faith, we share Good News. The Good News is that although we were all deserving of God's wrath, we can escape that wrath, and not only that, we can enjoy the most fulfilling life, and also spend eternity with the one who manifactured that heart and is the perfect cure for whatever ails it. And guess what: It is completely free.
That is why we spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not to build an empire, becuase Christ has never sought an empire. It is so that souls in their billions can be given the remedy that their heart readily yearns for. Jesus is that answer and He is the antidote to the poisons that life's grip yields.
