A missionary reports that a recent gathering of Mideast Christian broadcasters revealed there are now more than 5 million converts to Christianity in Iran... and many more have been turning to Jesus this year.

"Every time there's a war, there's a great movement toward Christ," Georges Houssney said. "People become disillusioned with the world and with religion that causes war. Khamenei in Iran and Bin Laden – those two made a huge difference for the gospel because they gave false hope. ... And so they are flocking into the Kingdom through Jesus Christ."

He has also observed that many who leave Islam for Christianity encounter Jesus through dreams or visions...

At the West Side Baptist Church in Beatrice, Nebraska, choir practice was scheduled to begin as usual in the evening. On this particular night, however, every single one of the 15 choir members arrived late for completely different reasons.

Just minutes before practice was due to start, a natural gas leak caused a massive explosion that completely destroyed the church building. If the choir had arrived on time, they would have been inside.

Instead, a series of ordinary delays — unfinished homework, a stalled car, a soiled dress that needed changing, a short nap, and other small interruptions — kept all 15 people away. No one was injured.

The extraordinary coincidence has since become known as the “miraculous lateness,” with many viewing it as a remarkable instance of divine protection.
