IN LOVING MEMORY

David Michael Padgett, 69, of Kuttawa, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 24, 1956, in Caldwell County to his mother, Barbara Bennett Padgett and late father, Jerry Clyde Padgett.

David was a dedicated member of Hebron Baptist Church in Lyon County, Kentucky, where he found great purpose in serving others. He devoted much of his time to volunteer work, always willing to lend a helping hand to church members, widows, farmers, and friends in need. David also enjoyed long walks near his home or while accompanying his mother to the mall. He spent many years in Lexington, where he worked as a supervisor at the Toyota plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. After retiring, David returned to his hometown about 15 years ago to care for his mother.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by his two daughters, Jessica (Scott) Lange and Megan Padgett, both of Lexington; one sister, Debbie (Steve) Greenwall of Pigeon Forge, TN; two brothers, Jerry "Butch" (Jackie) Padgett of Lyon County, Steve (Pam) Padgett of Lewisburg, TN; two grandchildren, Graham Lange and Lucy Lange; two nieces and several cousins.

David was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Kirk and Bro. Jacob Ginn officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
