REMEMBER: SUMMER HOURS START THIS SUNDAY, with worship at 9:30!

This one will require a little explanation.

Back at the end of April, Pastor Matt preached a sermon in which he mostly made fun of himself but also made fun of 18th century preacher, pastor and theologian Jonathan Edwards. It was, Pastor Matt admits, a cheap shot.

For the "That's a Good Question" sermon series, a learned member of the congregation asked, in essence, if Pastor Matt could try again.

So this Sunday's sermon will reflect on the legacy of Jonathan Edwards: about the role of feelings in the life of faith, about the place of beauty in the providence of God, about what we do with ancestors who had some really great ideas and some really terrible ones as well.

Plus: there will be music!
And programs for the kids!
