A NOTE FROM PASTOR NEEL
My dear friends in Christ,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for how well you have shared in our journey to cooperate with United Fellowship Lutheran Church toward the process of sharing pastoral ministry. Your honest questions, feedback, and the way you have fully participated in the process to date has been nothing short of stellar. Again thank-you! You are truly a blessing from God.

To be sure there is much in front of us, perhaps most importantly will be getting to know Pastor Jamie and the good folks at United Fellowship. As we get to know each other and explore that relationship together, we will discover new challenges that we will conquer together. But facing those challenges together can also be full of joy and laughter.

One way or the other, I am proud to be your pastor. Thank you for being a blessing in all that you do.

Pastor Neel

IMMUNIZATION CLINIC AT ST. ANDREW’S – October 25th
Walmart Pharmacy is bringing a convenient immunization clinic to St. Andrew’s on Sunday, October 25th beginning at 10:30am. Available vaccines will be Seasonal Flu (both standard and high dose), Pneumonia, Shingles, RSV, Hepatitis A/B, Tetanus, and Covid. All interested parties must sign up ahead of time. Please see a member of the Parish Nurses team on Sunday mornings after worship in the Narthex for further information and/or to sign up. It is imperative that we know the number of each immunization needed ahead of time so that the team from Walmart (headed by our own Michael Stutz) can bring the proper supplies. You will need to remember your insurance card and the completed consent form which can be obtained on Sunday mornings. To clarify, the cost of immunizations will go through your insurance. Depending upon your insurance, immunizations MAY be free. If you are interested in immunizations and unable to pay, speak with Pastor Neel.

COMMUNITY CARE
We continue to collect donations for the Food Bank at ProJeCt. They are especially in need of boxed cereal, canned sweet corn, and pasta. Note that they have a large donor that provides spaghetti, so they are asking for other types of canned or dry pasta.

NURSERY SCHOOL - SCHOOL BEGINS TUESDAY!
After a long summer off, the teachers came back this week to prepare their rooms, continue training, and work on their curriculum for the upcoming year. Tonight, we will welcome families at our Parent Open House. We are currently accepting enrollments for both classes. Please encourage the parents you know to give me a call. We accept children ages 31 months through age 5. We continue to collect bread tags and encourage you to take part in our “Community Weaving” project at the end of the hall. Just pick up a piece of ribbon or yarn in the basket and weave it into the frame. I also encourage you to take a couple of minutes when you are in the building to check out the classrooms.

EARLY DEMENTIA EDUCATION AND SUPPORT CLASS – starts next week!
Sue Himmelreich will be teaching a free six-week Early Dementia Education and Support Class beginning Wednesday, September 9th. These classes are for the person with early dementia and their support person. The classes will be held at Kortz Hall, Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth on September 9, 16, 23, 30, October 7, and 14 from 6-7:30pm. You can register through this link Early Stage Dementia Support Group: 6 Weekly Sessions — Morningstar Living - EventFULL Living or by calling Sue at 484-226-0165.

BOSCOV’S FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS
SAW is once again offering $5 Discount Shopping Passes for the Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends one day sale on October 21st. With a shopping pass, you will receive 25% off most items in the store. The $5 charge is a donation to SAW – Boscov’s doesn’t take a percentage. If Boscov’s is your happy place, or if you want to get a head start on Christmas shopping, see April Shaheen (or me!) for a savings pass.

UNITED FELLOWSHIP RUMMAGE SALE DONATIONS
Our friends at United Fellowship are looking forward to their rummage sale on September 25 and 26. If you would like to contribute, goods can be dropped off September 21-23. More to come on this later.

Preschool.

took a slip off the Giving Tree in June, as well as those who signed up to
donate food for our snacks. As a reminder, school starts September 8th
