This Sunday

"The Burden of Grace"

I suppose that most of us can overlook some small wrong that someone commits against us. But when it happens time and time again, how graceful should we be in offering up that graceful gift of forgiveness? Well, Peter thinks he might have the answer to that dilemma, but is quickly overruled by Jesus. Jesus suggests a response that just might be impossible for the human heart, And, as something that might just be impossible, we are still called to aspire to an endless fountain of forgiveness.

Please join us in church this Sunday at 9:30 a.m., as we look at how much and how often we should forgive those who sin against us.

Sinner to Sinner Conversation

This week's Gospel lesson - Matthew 18:15 - 20 - deals with confronting the sinner with the reality of their sin. What is our approach when someone sins against us or against that which we stand for? How should sin be addressed by the church? Let's take a look at this tricky subject this Sunday with the sermon, "Two Sinners Converse." See you in church! Worship with us this Sunday, September 6 at 9:30 a.m.

August 30th is RALLY DAY!
On Sunday, August 30th, we will be moving our 9:30 a.m. worship service outdoors, amidst God's beautiful creation at East Bangor Park! Rally Day is a time to celebrate the end of summer and the start of the fall season by "rallying" folks back together after a summer of vacations and getaways for a new season of ministry together!

We'll begin the morning with open-air worship around the park gazebo, followed by a potluck luncheon under the pavilion, with good food, fellowship, and even some old-time games for all ages! A sign-up sheet will be available in the narthex for those able to bring a dish. snack, or dessert to share!

Rally Day is a fun way to kick off the fall season, and it's also a great opportunity to invite family, friends or neighbors to join in a time of community worship outdoors. We hope you will join us on August 30th!
