Saints Martha and Mary Episcopal Church

Saints Martha and Mary Episcopal Church We're a church that values people at every stage of life. We have fun. We socialize and we take the church out into the world.

Our Sunday worship service is at 9:30. Communion (Holy Eucharist) is open to all baptized persons. Sunday School:
The Confirmation Class is using the Confirm not Conform curriculum in addition to portions of previous curricula used at M&M. Each lesson is an opportunity for confirmation students learn about the Bible, the Episcopal tradition, and reflect on their own beliefs and questions. The 6th

– 8th grade class is using a curriculum that goes along with the youth bible. It includes an overview of the different books of the Bible and then has discussions and activities that cover a wide range of topics pertinent to middle school age students. The 3rd-5th grade class is using the Seasons of the Spirit lectionary-based curriculum. The students have fun developing Bible skills, asking questions and exploring our faith traditions through art, drama, storytelling and service projects. The K-2nd grade class uses Godly Play to share stories of the Bible and learn about the Episcopal tradition and wonder and reflect on them.

You are invited to journey with Christ from his triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, to his last supper with his friends, to his persecution and crucifixion and to his glorious resurrection.

March 29 Palm Sunday, 9:30 am.
Begin the Holiest Week of the church year as remember Jesus triumphant welcome into Jerusalem and hear anew the words of Matthew. If the weather permits we will start the service outside.

April 3 - Good Friday, 7:00 pm
A day that we, along with Christians around the world, commemorate the crucifixion of Christ by special acts of discipline such as fasting or prayer. Join with others as we pray, read the scriptures from John and reflect.

April 5 - Easter Sunday, 9:30 am
Come celebrate the risen Christ and give thanks to God.
Feast your eyes on the beautifully decorated church, feast your ears and heart on the Word and Easter hymns; feast your body and soul on the Eucharist.
Join in, shout Alleluia!

Two Ways That We Can Help Our Neighbors Here in the Metro

The Open Door Food Pantry has an increased need for food items and is not only open to those coming to their location in Eagan but they are partnering with 20+ community agencies to get food to those afraid to leave their homes. The current donation drive is called: Minnesota Nice with a Side of Beans and Rice.

The most needed items are:
White Rice, 2 lbs bags, Vegetable Oil, Masa Flour, Dry Black Beans, Pasta, Canned Chicken, Dry Pinto Beans, Pasta Sauce.
Brown Paper Bags, Empty Egg Cartons - dozen size.https://theopendoorpantry.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Minnesota-Nice-Beans-Rice.pdf
Bring your items to church and put in the wicker basket in front of the font. We will bless and then deliver them to Open Door.

Casa Maria at St. Nicholas Episcopal in Richfield is in need of drivers willing to bring groceries to those afraid to leave home. They also need those willing to buy groceries (with provided gift cards) and then deliver to those at home. Here is the link https://www.saint-nicks.org/casamaria to the their website advising how to volunteer. Note that the website information does not provide the accurate hours and days of delivery options. Use the email link on the web page to volunteer and to get more information.

Monetary donations are welcomed and needed to make this work happen. This link https://givebutter.com/casa-maria gets you to their donation page. The Episcopal Church in Minnesota has put out a request for donations from across the state with a goal of a total of $20,000.

The Season of Advent is here. Advent is described as "The first season of the church year, beginning with the fourth Sunday before Christmas and continuing through the day before Christmas. The name is derived from a Latin word for “coming.” The season is a time of preparation and expectation for the coming celebration of our Lord's nativity, and for the final coming of Christ “in power and glory.” Amid the hustle and bustle of December, you are invited to keep Advent in your heart and prayers. Below are links to spiritual practices; see which one suits you best.
