🕊️ 800th Anniversary of the Passing of St. Francis 🕊️
06.02.2026 ✍️ Brother Sun
St. Francis, in 1225, composed “The Canticle of the Creatures,” viewing all of Creation as his brothers and sisters. He considered the Canticle a prayer of gratitude and praise to God for Creation, which he perceived as a reflection of the Divine. ✨
"Praised be you, my Lord
with all your creatures,
especially Sir Brother Sun,
who is the day through whom
you bring us light.
And he is lovely, shining
with great splendor,
for he heralds you, Most High."
~ St. Francis of Assisi ☀️
