FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP WITH CHRIST
Discover the definitive guide to Lutheran family discipleship--crafted for pastors and congregational leaders committed to forming lifelong faith.

This book stands as the essential theological foundation for understanding how the church and home work together in nurturing children in the Christian faith. With clarity and insight, it surveys the leading models of congregational family ministry, highlighting both their strengths and their challenges. In doing so, it casts a compelling vision of family discipleship as a true partnership: the Christian home as the primary place of faith formation, supported and strengthened by the ministry of the local congregation.

Congratulations to all the graduates!! God bless and keep you in all your decisions with His guidance and love, whether it’s more school or looking for your vocation.
Blessings as you use your talents and abilities for His glory and in service to others.
You are uniquely made and blessed.
We thank God for you.

Remember, you don’t have to make the “right” decision. Please don’t put that pressure on yourself.
I’m on my third career/calling in life (not forgetting our other roles-family, neighbor, friends).

Have fun!
One day at a time.
The Lord has you in His hands.

988 Hotline.
I was just reminded about this hotline at a pastor/nonprofit luncheon. The speaker said to this Christian group that it’s ok to ask for help.

It’s ok to ask for help.

Please reach out.

The peace and love of Jesus be to you. He is with you.

Isaiah 43:1

[1] But now thus says the LORD,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.

“Encountering the Goodness of God:
The Impact of God's Love Upon LGBTQ”

Commonly, evangelism to LGBTQ begins with the premise that same-sex sexual and cross-sex (so-called, “transgender”) behaviors are sin, where the focus rests on the verses that explicitly prohibit these behaviors. How can we study Jesus' teachings in a way that evokes love for God, and how can we create environments of expectation so that LGBTQ-identifying people turn to God to embrace John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Join Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Woning as she shares from her personal journey in Christ away from the LGBTQ subculture.

Rev. Elizabeth Woning is co-founder of the CHANGED Movement, a worldwide network of people who have questioned their sexuality (or are questioning) and have chosen to abandon LGBTQ identities and culture. Elizabeth is an ordained pastor and resides in Northern California with her husband, Doug.

Elizabeth WoningElizabeth Woning
CHANGED Movement Co-Director
Elizabeth and her husband, Doug, have been at Bethel Church, Redding since 2013. Alongside Ken Williams, she is co-founder of Equipped to Love and CHANGED Movement, two organizations with a primary focus on the LGBTQ issue and those who have been impacted by it. Elizabeth also teaches at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, and holds a master’s degree in Theology.

Elizabeth is passionate about the intersection of LGBTQ and Christianity in our culture and assists those wishing to engage and better understand the complexities of sexual and gender identity. Her heart is to see the LGBTQ community fully reconciled to God and to explore compassionate means of connection to those who disagree with Christian beliefs.

As a young woman in her 20s, Elizabeth “came out” as a le***an and attended seminary openly gay. In the early 2000s, she lobbied for gay marriage and the ordination of LGTBQ-identifying individuals and ministered among gay-identifying youth, espousing a theology that embraced homosexuality. She later served as a youth pastor in a small rural community where an encounter with Jesus radically shifted her perspective. The love of God drew her into a revelation that fueled an unexpected journey out of the gay community and transformed her life. Today, she no longer identifies as le***an and has been married to her husband, Doug, since 2005.
